Need help with: Mining, Crafting, HUD, Menu, Start Screen...

i am making an rpg and i need alot of help so only reply if u are willing to help me.

i have no clue how to use scripts just to let you know

i want to make my game a single character game(one actor)

i need a HUD script for a single character game

i want a good custom menu

i want a custom start screen (like having it say "Press any key to continue" and havin a moving background.

i want a way to have the player mine ore's then use a fire pit to make metal bars then use an anvil to make weapons armor ect.

and last but not least i need a partner to help me finish making this game. please help.

...Have you searched for any of this, because there are scripts out there you could use, and there are tutorials on this site for professions such as mining. I suggest you do a little searching around and ask for specific bits of help, because I don't know that this is the best way to go about it.

Tilea is right. The first one can easaly be found (I have found like 3-5 HUDs) and the second one doesn't even require scripting. Just make your starting pary your character, delete the rest, and don't make an event to add a party member (I forgot the name of the button).

The custom menu might be a little harder to find. Just get a custom menu script from the *gasp* RGSS/RGSS2 board (not the sub boards).

The "Press any key to start." title would be harder. I have never seen one but you want it like most Zelda and Mario games right? Just go to the Script Request board (one of the sub-forums in the board mentioned above) and ask there.

As for the minning and whatnot, that can be done using common events. If you can't figure out how to do that then I could probably help you, eventing isn't really hard.

ok well i have resolved the start screen the single player mode the press any key to continue and the HUD all i really need help with is mining and if u say u can help the please read:

Ores:
Iron ore
Copper Ore
Gold ore

Metals:
Steel bar:2 copper,1 iron ores
Gold bar:3x gold ores

Items creatable:
Bronze sword,bow,rod,and knife:2 steel bars
Iron sword,bow,rod,and knife: 4 steel bars
Gold ring:1 gold bar
Gold necklace:2 gold bars

Tools:
Molding hammer
Pick axe

On map event pictures and stuff they do:
Copper deposite:realistic sound of pickaxe then random items gaind:copper ore 1-3
iron deposit:realistic sound of pickaxe then random items gained:iron ore 1-3
gold deposit:realistic sound of pickaxe then random items gained:gold ore 1-3
Anvil:use to mold steel bars and gold bars
Fire oven:use to smelt:iron ore copper ore and gold ore




can u make that into a good mining or blacksmithing thing? then send me a demo of it so i can jsut coppy and paste it all??

Okay but a couple of things:

1) How did you get bronze out of STEELE?!?!?!?

2) Finding a realistic sound of a pickaxe... I really have no clue where to find it but I will try.

3) How about the vains (not deposits) of copper/steele/gold are all in one? The one you get would be determind by a random variable (percentage).

40 Simple sugestion. Why not have mythral as well?

5) If all else, I will amke the "hard" stuff and I will send you the demo and you can do the minor touch-up stuff (names, amounts, ect. I will explain how you can do that in the demo).

All in all, I should have finished by Moday at the latest and Saturday night at the earliest.

ok ur right wee will make the ores tin and copper create iron bronze bars sound better? and no i want different icons on the map for different ores like Runescape sorta and yea myth sounds good but i would like the player to have to lvl to be able to make myth things i will add them by looking at the demo though and one more thing can u get a good hud system that has the Hud in the top left corner of the screen?

It was on the second page of the tutorials section. I suggest you look around the site before you request anything.
