Need a good program

Does anybody know of a program that's good for bulk image editing? Specifically, I need to desaturate and slightly brighten over a hundred images and I'd rather not have to use the gimp to do that to each one individually. Is there any free program that I could make a small macro for or something?

I don't know of any free programs. But You can batch process images in photoshop. If you can get your hands on photoshop you can record your actions in one file and repeat it over the other hundred. It's really fast too. Just remember to record saving and closing the file other wise you'll have a hundred files opened at once.

If you can bear the command line, ImageMagick is your safest bet.

If it's only adjustments, try google's Picasa.
