my tutin needs

i need guidence on a few things either direct help or links to tuts on them some are basic i know but i kinda get screwed up on them and ive had to make an entirley new project because i deleted main script amonst other things xD

onto business i need help on;


making introductions/cutscenes (to begining of game and other important areas)

switch,contentental branch and variable guidence (lol my events never happen keep disapering or self deleting?)

create events (the concepts dont sink in

creating dynamics in game (i.e. explosions etc linked to cutscenes)

I would go visit the academies and start with their lessons, because it sounds like you need to learn how to use RMXP/VX in general.

Obviously, my sarcasm means that there is no chance of you getting ALL that.  I learned by trial and error and getting bashed by other members, and I'm all the better for it.  Now, if you'll excuse me, my dish is getting lonely.

You learn these things by trying it.  I learned all I know about eventing (and mapping for that matter) by messing around with the program.  You could also download some games that are unencrypted to see how they do some things.

It's all common sense/knowledge. The 'creating dynamics in game' can be done with a Particle Engine or Animations. i.e. Look for those two things specifically in Tutorial and Help areas.

Like Actingman00 AND Fido said, RPG Maker XP/VX is all about trial and error. The learning curve is a little steep to start out but eventually becomes a walk down the road.

The Academies are in the "Community" section of the Forums.
They are currently undergoing a massive re-structuring and will be released in the near future with the rest of the website.
However, there is still a wealth of information in the old forums, and we are keeping an eye on them for activity if anyone needs help.
