My Title Screen

This is the title screen of the game im working on at the moment "Final Fantasy:Awakening". I know your probally thinking "not another fan boy attempting to replicate a series that's far beyond his reach", but i aim to make my game have the heart of final fantasy and the soul of suikoden. That said this is the first time I have ever done anything like this and my project is very much in its virgin stages.

Anyway heres the title.Please tell me what you think whether good or ill and go easy on me, iv not done any art since secondary school(some time ago).

Ok so this is the one im using in the game heavily edited by calibre.Thanks man for the lovely graident. I just could'nt seem to nail it and it looks so much better

Well it's the right idea but I don't really like how the wording is seperated too much apart. What media did uoi use to make this? Is thr picture original by you or is it a filtered image?

It looks a bit messy, hard to explain but patchy/blotchy, what program are you using?

There is also an inconsistency in the thickness of the underlining from the left side to the right.

Definately not a bad start though and inline with final fantasies general style. Maybe add a subtle gradient to the image too, the ff logo's usually have a gradient in their imagery.

im using adobe photoshop and the image is not originally by me no. Yes I know what you mean the wording is a little far apart. I could not get it to a point i was happy with I have added the original layout of the wording i had and im away to try putting a subtle gradient onto it. Thank you very much for the feedback

I know you will have seen this before, but maybe follow a similar method to this. it uses a similar picture to the one you have, contains the gradient I spoke of, and demonstrates how you can mesh the words with the image.

ok so I have touched it up a little and taken away the blochyness. I can't really get the hang of the gradient however, have to play around with it...

NOTE: I am not jacking this thread, the OP Pm'ed me about making some alterations for him...

Anyway, here you go. If I had a cleaner original image to work with, I would have been able to do better, but as it is I tried adding some subtle blends behind the image to try and take away the focus on the choppy edges and speckles of the original image.
