My revamped 3D artwork for games

okay last time I submitted 3D work someone said it was too realistic and not fitting for a game forum. So, I have some game models and textures I made (from scratch, except the bricks I used a photo for) for a game artist job I was applying for.

here is the link to the entire album if you want to see them all: Rick's Album

These are all very well done, good use of UV mapping, solid proportions, and good textures. Anyone who says those don't belong in a game engine doesn't know much about game art or game design. So long as they are all low-poly models, they'd look very good in any 3D game engine that makes use of OpenGL or DirectX. Of course, if you were going for something more realistic, I'd take time to learn Normals Mapping.

But overall a VERY good display. :)

thanks!

I have done some photorealistic stuff (see here http://photobucket.com/Ricks_photoreal_3D) but I like the vibrant colors more in my game models. One thing that I am really disappointed in about these "ultra-realistic gritty" type of games that are coming out is that all the colors seem to be washed out, IF there are any to begin with. Which also happens to be why I liked World of Warcraft more than any other MMORPG, even Lord of the Rings Online even though I am a DIEHARD fan of Tolkein.
