PLEASE NOTE: this is a "final" in that I'm done working on it. There are a few things that could be touched up but I'm working on another project now so I don't care enough to fix em lol...
here's a demo map made entirely with this tileset:

it's in .png format so the transparencies are already set. You should NOT have to set them when you import it into your project...if you do it will mess up the transparencies....
NOTES: for the grass, its a 640x480 set broken into 3 pieces as big as you can select in RMXP tileset window. Just paste the 3 pieces side by side, and then in the map window right-click in the top-left corner and drag to the lower-right. Once that whole grass unit is selected, choose the paint bucket and paste right next to the original grass piece in the map window. That will fill the entire map with seamless grass no matter the map size.
TIP: put the trees on the 3rd layer, and the house pieces on the first layer, always...
