My music, feedback if you will

Here are some songs in MIDI I've composed...some are complete and some aren't.  Just looking to see what you guys think.  Good or bad criticism, any will do! ^_^

MIDI:
Boss Battle (a boss battle theme WIP, very final fantasy-esque)
http://www.geocities.com/mega_man_axe/boss_battle.mid

Gameover (a game over song, duh)
http://www.geocities.com/mega_man_axe/GAMEOVER.mid

Title Screen(a song for a title screen...or for some text scrolling I guess)
http://www.geocities.com/mega_man_axe/loginscreen.mid

Triumphant Victory(obviously a victory fanfare)
http://www.geocities.com/mega_man_axe/t ... ictory.mid

Un-named Song(I just can't think of a name for this one, any suggestions?)
http://www.geocities.com/mega_man_axe/Idontknowyet.mid

The Divine War(maybe the intro to a big battle or something?)
http://www.geocities.com/mega_man_axe/T ... ne_War.mid

Dance of the Damned(In a church, or evil castle)
http://www.geocities.com/mega_man_axe/D ... Damned.mid

EDIT: Added some more tunes

They sound a bit messy to me... too many instruments at once. Slow it down a little... find some instruments that sound right together, and then implement them. At the moment, it seems that it has just been thrown together.

Good work on Boss Battle and Dance of the damned. :thumb:

Triumphant victory sounds alot like the FF7 fanfare to me.

And for the title screen, don't use the really fast rolls [demi-semi quavers yeah?], try slowing down the roll abit or something.

but overall impressive stuff! Keep it up!

Thanks Gilleece! ^_^  Listening to those drum rolls at a new perspective, they do sound quite odd.  I'll slow them down, as for the victory fanfare I'll have another listen to FF7...its been a while heh so I'll have to hear it to pick out the similarities.

Definitely like your boss battle, made me feel like I was playing a classic game.  Pretty memorable melody on it.

I can see where you were going with Game Over with the harpsichord, organ and choir sounds, but I don't think the tune spelled 'game over' to me.  I think if you slowed the tempo down and took a little more time finding the best chords to use, it would improve a lot.

Victory music was also really good, but I'm not sure how I feel about the first 4 seconds of it.  It sounds a bit.. weak?  Maybe add another type of horn in there or mess around with your chords again and try out something else for just that initial part.

Haven't had time to hear the rest yet, gotta run.  Keep it up though, good music!

Thanks, I will work on those things...especially Game Over, I feel it is lacking something.  And for the victory fanfare...I think I should add the flute starting from the beginning..because in all honesty, how long do people actually spend on the victory screen?  :)
