My First Tileset

I was looking for cell-shaded or cartoony tilesets a while ago, and couldn't find many. So, I decided to try and make one. It's a combination of the Grasslands and Woods tilesets. I would appreciate any comments.

It's good, although I think the color choices were a bit pukey.

For cartoony I think you might went to go for a much more... brighter colored look. But the dark outlines and overall feel of it is well done.

The colour is revolting. Sorry but it is as simple as that. However the shape is good, just please please please change the colour.

The color scheme is ugly, and that bridge is ugly.

Good tileset though.

Thanks for the comments. I don't get what you mean about the color. Could you give a few examples of what should be done.

the colors are ugly as stated above, and there seem to be white pixels around each object, get rid of those and you'll be just fine :p

I've been working on something similar.

Well, exactly identical from the perspective of drawing over the RTP with a pen tool. You did a better job tracing than me, though.

Anyway, you need to make sure you trace over a transparent background end keep the image in RGP mode to avoid getting those white edges.

I tried making the color scheme better... I didn't have much luck though.
It needs a higher variety of colors. Put in some more flowers and such.

Overall, I find your tileset to be good, but as with the others, I think that you should have changed the color.

I know, I didn't really do anything to the tent. I tried a couple things, but I gave up because it felt hopeless. lol

The Castle Town Tileset looks much more simple than the grassland one. Not that I have anything against it, it just seems pretty much an easy-to-see repeating tile (Y'know, the diamonds). Other than that, it's pretty good.
