My animated battler

WOW!!! Far more better!!! But hey, in second battler's Charge and Retreat poses, why don't you add a shadow below his feet to give him a flying look? It will make him far more cooler.  ;)

Quite impressive! The girls (1st battler is a girl, right? or just a bishie?) summoning of blades reminds me distinctly of Gilgamesh from Fate Stay Night and his noble phantasm.

@Nphyx : I don't know Graphics Gale ,Can you show me?
I never see that have a Graphics for pixel art,for chars and battlers.
What's transparency problems ? I really save file .PNG .
I'll try to make better
There are no transparency problems per se; but what I believe Nphyx talking about is the fact that you have blurring in the battlers. RMXP doesn't really accept it well. Its okay for animations as long as you use a black background and additive blending, but for battler sprites and other such things it probably won't look good when imported, as the blurry bit will become opaque. Theres a transparent colour and a translucent colour and thats it. No fuzziness allowed. (and not even the former colours can be selected when your saved mode is RGB colour)

You don't neccesarily have to listen to peoples program recommendations; if you feel comfortable in Paint, then go for it. I'm a hardcore Photoshop devotee myself, but at the end of the day, you must select your own tools.

PNG is best for sprites because it preserves transparancy and is lossless/compressionless (unlike JPG) so you'll retain your quality, which is pretty important.

Hrm ,Not girl ,not bishie too  . I really draw too bad for you to recognize .

Is Fate Stay Night action game like Castlevania ?
If it is ,I'll check it .I'm boring b/c can't get the new ver of Castlevania. :(

You's right, but If have tool more useful than Paint ,why don't use? With the battlers i need to both PS and Paint(inconvenient)
On web infos, I found GIMP can help the same .(though I haven't used yet,but I 'll test .)

@Valcrist : I intended like your idea but I missed and Now the battler finished , lazy again ;D
I'm making Castlevania's  battlers ,hope can show soon .;D

Ah, I've never played a Castlevania game, so I wouldn't know. My apologies for thinking it to be a girl; but then if he's not, that does make him a bishie (bishie, aka. Bishounen = a long haired pretty boy, if you're not up your anime terms- he can be cool all he wants, but with long hair and melodramatic looking features, this ones a classic case.)

Aha, Fate Stay Night is a Japanese visual novel game by Type Moon. Quite a famous one, in fact. Its been made into an Anime which tells the first of its three storylines, also. Certainly not an action game; lots of text to read and plot to swallow.

Probably not your cup of tea, but here's what I'm talking about- Gilgamesh's blades:

Anyway, keep up the good work...

Bzzzzt!!!! :( Ah well, still, it's a nice battler.  :) Oh, BTW, what characters from Castelvania you're making now? I hope it would be Sylphia Belnandes.  ;D

I didn't read your first rely carefully (B/c the words "girl","bi" really bother me  :-\) .Well,The summon looks like mine .

First I'll finish main chars but don't worry ,I try to get more chars of castlevania as  can ;D

great sprites but...
the heads need shaping
needs a little more shading
you need a nose and ears
eyes need better positioning

these are tips if you hate me for tips you are very insecure

plus I suck at the heads too so please...

There's not a lot of poses, I suggest you look at the template for Minkoff battlers:
http://hometown.aol.com/Der%20VVulfman/ ... /MINK2.png
The system will take a battler image of roughly ANY size.  It doesn't shrink or stretch the battler image.  Instead, it'll draw it frame by frame (regardless of original size) on the screen.  Large battler sets will show large battlers on the screen, while teenie-tiny battlers will be teenie-tiny on the screen.  The size is up to you.

THE GENERAL TEMPLATE POSES:
Pose #1 - READY (The battler is typically bobbing around)
Pose #2 - STRUCK (Shows him/her staggering backwards)
Pose #3 - CRITICAL (The battler is dangerouly low on health)
Pose #4 - BLOCK (The battler attempts to defend himself)
Pose #5 - RUSH! (The battler charges forward)
Pose #6 - RETREAT (The battler returns to formation)
Pose #7 - ATTACK (Shows the battler's melee attack move)
Pose #8 - ITEM (Shows the battler using an item or object)
Pose #9 - SKILL (Shows the battler... typically casting a spell)
Pose #10 - VICTORY (Shows the battler in a victory pose)
Pose #11 - DEFEAT (Shows a dead battler on the field)

But don't let yourself be restricted to these poses as the script lets people customise and add extra poses so there is actually no limit to the amount that can be used, a battler can have 15 poses, 50 poses or just 10 but the standard template uses 11 so that's a good number to aim for when making battlers.

I knew it.the script that i use is  same.I only draw 2 or 3 images for every battlers,so they don't have enough pose.

yes, battlers in my proj are larger than this.(just tall as FF8)

Neat battlers... Say, do you use MS Paint, or PAINT.NET? I wonder, because you've got alot of blur effects, and ms paint can't naturally do that. Otherwise, they're great looking =]

Graphics Gale
There's a free version with very few limitations, basically just can't save to a few file types (all the ones you need for RMXP are in the free version).  Very handy little program.
When I said there would be problems with transparency what I meant was that RMXP doesn't support blended transparency.  There is a script floating around that can correct this for you but I don't have a link to it offhand.

Also, Fate Stay Night was great. :)

I think it's against forum rules, especially since I have a payed version.  Not sure why you're having trouble, sorry to hear it :(

Wow...

This is awesome! Especially if you drew it in paint (not talking about the filters used, just the drawing)! If I ever make a non-ABS game (which I doubt will happen), I'll definitely use this.
*bookmarked*

Btw, can you provide the character set of the first battler you've provided? Thanks. :D

EDIT: It's a good thing that Fwelp is banned. Kudos to the person who banned him! =P

a long time ,i here
I 'm busy with my proj
However ,i added  two char .Maybe you like (i hope so )
