I've been coming up with a new concept of a quick-to-make project using very simple graphics and with gameplay similar to that of the Mother games, set in a cartoon-ified image of our own world but all the graphics consist of 2-bit colour pallettes, like an old gameboy game, with low-res sprites with MIDI music and low bitrate-recorded voice sound effects.

Back Story:
In the 1920s, some newlyweds move in their first house together, little do they know that it is possessed by a demon.
Their unborn baby carries the demon since conception, when the baby is taken into space by aliens, the couple breakdown and divorce.
The baby grew up, the demon inside becomes more powerful, and it assumes role as the leader of an alien race.
Story:
Set in the 1960s....
A kid's parents are one night abducted by aliens, so he goes down to the local scientist's lab in town for help, they look through a telescope into the sky and see an alien armada (Lots of flying saucers), so the kid goes out to look for parts to build a space ship with assistance from the other kids around the neighbourhood, one of them turns out to be an alien in disguise who is trying to destory the other aliens so they no longer have competition when they try to take over Earth and build a space armada greater than the other aliens and take over the galaxy.
The parts needed for the space ship are scattered around different places, rocket fuel needs to be stolen from a military base, scrap metal from a junkyard inhabitted by wild dogs, a unique element called Getthisium is needed for some other reason, the scientist you're helping needs to be paid for saving your parents and the world so you need to save up all the money you pick up.
The climax of the game is you get sent into space, you find out your friend is an alien, he sends you back in time to stop the invasion by aborting the unborn baby of a couple living in a demon possessed house in the 1920s.
The idea is to make a short, quick RPG game that is completable.
