More human than human

Recently I took a Title Screen request and without realizing it (*cough* reading it properly *cough*) found out that it had an actual person in it. Thankfully he wasn't facing the screen. But I'm terrible at drawing human forms. Probably because I only have a mouse and a limited imagination, that aside I'm seeking ideas on betterment of this figure. Or even tips about drawing people in general would be greatly appreciated.

He's supposed to be huddled down to the ground with his hands on his head.

Disclaimer: If this was posted in the wrong section I apologize. With "Graphics and Arts" new rules I wasn't 100% sure where to put this. So I apologize to the mods if this is in the wrong area.

That's a cool graphic you got there! It's got a good feel to it, the monochrome, the shading on his T-shirt and pants, amazing. If you want to be nitpicky, you could say that his hands don't quite come back far enough on his head, though that's just a little thing. Otherwise it's perfect.

Thanks for the feedback BrunoTR. Like I said when it comes to humanoid forms I fail. That's why the hands are deceptively forward. I can't draw them :wink: I will try to "back" them up a little.

[edit] Alright here's what it is now I messed up the hair a little more and moved the hands back.

thats pretty good, only thing i have to add, is if you can, have someone stoop in that position and take a good look at the way their shirt's folds are, might be able to get a little more detailing as far as folds and wrinkles in the cloth

I did notice that. Just read that artist tut in Arts and Graphic. But I don't know how it should be and no one to pose for me. So its all guesswork for me. I guess I'll play around with it until I get it to work. Thanks Gulch666.

Well, this person isn't in the exact same stance as your person, but it could be used as a reference pic:

You could google "People Crouching" to get more pictures like this. Once you find a couple different views, you can estimate where the wrinkles will be.

Actually I did do that afterwards but didn't edit my previous post. My apology. Turned out I was only doing more harm then good so at that point I just finalized it and submitted it for uroron. Thanks for the consideration though Neverplayd.

Ah what the hell I need to get better at it so I'll try again. Agh it just keeps coming out like his shirt is all baggy and puffy.

Niiiice. This is coming along well! I don't think his short looks 'puffy' at all.
