Modern/Futuristic/Rock/Heavy Metal Midis ~ Here please ^^

I'm looking for modern/futuristic/rock/heavy metal midis that could fit a technology town/city/scenery. For example, you walk through a industrial district and I'm looking for a midi that goes with it.

There are very few midi's that are like that and when they are, they are usually event based and thus not good as background music for a city/town.

Please post any of these midis if you have them. ^_^

It was the first midi site on google, and the original music was by The Offspring. Some might be kinda upbeat, but if you listen to the real mp3's, they aren't very happy. Favorite band though, so, enjoy!

Ah, I remember seeing that site while looking. I skipped it because I don't know any bands that produce background music though, so thanks for pointing that one out.

Anything can be used as Backround music unless it has words in it. >.< then it gets annoying.

Yea, but midis from songs have disadvantages:

1) People might recognize the tune, which could be annoying in an alien world game.

2) Songs have specific tunes and usually start and end with a short music bridge, which can kill looping.

3) Songs are usually either slow or really fast paced, whilst BG songs made for BG noises are less focus-consuming. ^^

Very nice. It would be perfect if it had a few minor "heavy metal guitar" strokes in there, as a bit of a contrast with the lovely piano. I think it would be really nice to have piano as well as a (few) heavy metal guitar strings in there, so it feels natural while still being technological. If that makes any sense.

If you don't know where to put it, I suggest just a few simple notes when you hear the bass instrument or just the drums and not the piano, because some parts felt a little empty when I listened to just drums. On the other hand, however, the song is so quiet... So sad, yet technological. It's just perfect for the mood I'm trying to create... Trying to get you sad about the advanced scenery and happy when you're in the forests and magical country of the world. Something we took for granted for many years: nature.

This is my first attempt at making music for a game. I play in a rock band in the "real" world, though, haha.

Nah, but usually I only use MIDI to write songs for my band... that is, songs with more distinct parts, like what you'd hear on the radio (except less shitty on average, haha.) This was my first attempt at writing music for a game. I'm going to add it to the download manager I think in hopes of giving something back to a community that's helped me out a lot thus far.
