Missing Cookies?

Ok, so I had this problem since yesterday. Every time I close firefox, it deletes my cookies despite the fact that it is set to keep them until they expire. As such, I have to re-login every time i open my browser. I have tried changing the setting and clearing out my browsing history, cache, and cookies, yet nothing works. Can someone please help?

It could be one of several things. Have you installed any new addons? Do you have any cleaning programs installed on your computer, similar to CCleaner? Have you tried clearing your temporary internet files?

First, some addons will clean cookies to help speed up your computer. Usually, this is if the addon is intended for that specific purpose. Second, cleaning programs like CCleaner will delete cookies, and you may have to tell them to ignore a cookie so it won't delete them. Finally, you may want to try clearing your cookies and temporary internet files, and download a new cookie as you login, as sometime a cookie becomes corrupt, and you no longer stay logged in. This is especially true if you haven't logged in since the site changed forum software earlier in the year, since that automatically invalidated login cookies.

But that's just it, I haven't run any programs like that, and the cookie last while the browser is open, but if I close it and re-open it, the cookies are gone. It's like firefox is set to delete them at close, but my settings are telling it to keep all cookies until they expire.

Funny you brought this up, because I'm having the same problem with my bank. It won't save my login, even though every time I check "remember me", it doesn't.

I believe I fixed the problem. I had to go into the profile folder and delete cookies.sqlite
When I reopened firefox I went to a place that threw a cookie and it created a new uncorrupted version of the file
