"Where the dead walk, you must go only to be free... It's impossible"

Summary
Pricilla and Maria have run away from their abusive parents after things get out of hand. Running from the police, they stumble into a deserted, haunted house which contained a mirror that would bring them to a utopia. They find that Heaven and hell are battling it out and are desperate for numbers and sacrifices to god, so Pricilla and Maria are forced to stay. Unfortunately, Maria is kidnapped and Pricilla is forced into slavery and a soon to be sacrifice… But the only thing that will keep them from getting out of this disastrous place will be guilt, love, friendship, and themselves.

Her father killed her mother while deeply intoxicated. He tries to kill Pricilla but gets knocked out cold when Priscilla kicks him in his crotch. Brave, and courageous, she is still to timid and weak to take a persons life.

Maria

Maria's guardian raped her. Maria runs away and in distress and confusion, she robs a convenience store. She seems to be obsessed with originality, which always makes her think before she does anything. A little chaotic and mean, but she can be a true friend when she is given the chance.

Edana's legacy
Edana was the queen of Xenophan, her castle disappeared suddenly and the dead started to walk upon the grounds in the general area of the castle. Edana was a holy saint that was the bond between the male and female arguments. With her gone, the male and female split up into two groups and the Birth rate came to a halt. Edana's edge was where the castle used to be, and not it is the birthplace of the dead, memory erased, they find they're way back to their groups. But are dead a moment later, death by warfare. The gender groups wouldn't stop till the other gender was completely erased, but were so blinded by war that they could not see that it was hopeless for each to win.

Xenophan - All of every acre of ground and water.

maybe make them discover the house before running off, and have a very brief narnia-like trapeze through the land before the events: running off, causes them to want to leave and maybe try to discover a utopia in the mirror land
maybe make priscilla strike back at her father when he tries to hurt her, and he gets knocked unconscious, but she thinks he died. They, in light of recent events, try to escape.

have the events of mirror/characters of mirror mimick and allude to real life

tbs might be cool once the battles start, although the concept honestly doesn't strike me too much as a battle-focused game but a story-focused one/char/events driven one. Might change, and honestly sounds cool if done right.

You've proved a good point about the tbs thing... i'll go ahead and change it to the first paragraph because that would make the story have a lot more reasoning to it... So I guess (since the game won't be very battle focused) I should put in a bunch of minigames? And when the battleing and violence kick in, I think it would be a good idea to maybe use an isometric battle system... I've seen it somewhere, not really sure where to find it now, any help on that anyone?

Oh shi! Is this another game you've come up with? It's sure hard for you to stay on something you don't have attention problems do you?

TBS? Tactical! I haven't seen very many games with that battle system being used it's usually sideview. You intrigue me with that idea and I think if it's like Final Fantasy Tactics or similar than I will love you.

Just don't give up on this one.

Also note, people who are usually intoxicated aren't gonna kill people unless they are on drugs if that's what you mean. If he's drunk than he has to have a good reason to murder and most likely he wouldn't pass out from tripping since if a normal man fell on the floor he'd have to either hit his head hard or have something done really bad to his head to get knocked out.

Or you could put a heavy emphasis on puzzles, like a survival horror game. How many battles are you planning? If there's not going to be that many, maybe you could go entirely without a traditional battle system and have a context-sensitive type of thing, where you can evade monsters/fight them using things in the environment through a series of choices.
 
tbs could work; i swear i've seen a game that was linear/story based and has the ztbs every ow and then. If it's not battle focused, you better like hell make the immersion, dialogue, and cutscenes good. If the story basedness of it is not like completely totally linear, then you can easily add the tbs battles here and there for some prizes like extra cutscenes, extras in general, etc. minigames could be really nice.

the tbs you're thinking of might be gubid's tbs, which (I'm pretty sure) has isometric support. you can find it in the scripts part of the site.

Star: I'm not giving up on this or Dryads just yet, I forgot to mention that this is supposed to be entered in a contest, it said that is was okay to make a thread for it, so I'm taking a break with Dryads to finish this one by December... And the dad guy comes home really drunk and his wife is all mad, at him and giving him lectures and stuff, so he get's mad and kills her, would that work?
Moe: That could work, but I'm not entirely sure if I should do that throughout the whole game. I guess I could if your not able to fight or whatever. I guess It could be spread out...
Daxis: I probably would use the isometric support in the GTBS (I was going to use it if I decided to use a tbs) but the thing is... I have no experience with isometric environments and stuff... And I just said hell and heaven because all the hell people are demonic and power hungry, while heaven people are all goody two shoes... But are still corrupt, which is a secret. But if i do use a tbs I"m going to find a way to make it work with the 3 characters that you don't start off with :huh:

I will be using the Atramentum template by Kiwinuptuo, if I get her/his permission of course... :biggrin:

dad goes home, and gets mad, mother tries to hide daughter, dad gets pissed, pushes mom away, dad tries to smack child, mother tries to stop, dad unleashes rage on mother and doesn't event realize she's hurt/dead. Tries to hurt child, child pushes dad away (drunk, unstable legs), and his head hits something, unconscious and presumed dead by a hysterical girl.

you could make it so that the main characters are supplemented by some extras each of the initial battles (goodies saving them from clutches of baddies, etc.), and later on develop somethign else.

Ok, i guess I could have there be a secret group of people who got trapped in the mirror like Priscilla and maria, and in which, they are spread around, some hiding, some rebelling, and some in jail or about to be sacrificed. I guess that could be a pretty good idea...

So I guess I'll make the others generic in battle, but with somewhat of a personality and name, not really sure about a portrait for all of them...

Okay, so I've decided to make some generic people in which you can change classes with, to any class... But I also want the classes to give special stat bonuses, I know how to do that but I'm looking for a script that will give some extra stats to a certain stat depending on the class equipped... Let me explain this a bit more...

(ignore the only 3 stats thing)
Stat bonus for ninja:
ATK: -5%
DEF: -20%
AGI: +25%

Stat bonus for knight:
ATK: +10%
DEF: +15%
AGI: -25%

(insane stats)
Priscilla's base stat:
ATK: 100
DEF: 100
AGI: 100

Priscilla becomes a knight
ATK: 110
DEF: 115
AGI: 75

Priscilla becomes a ninja:
ATK: 95
DEF: 80
AGI: 125

Priscilla levels up:
ATK: 105 (+10)
DEF: 90 (+10)
AGI: 140 (+15)

Priscilla becomes a knight (again)
ATK: 121
DEF: 117
AGI: 110

Make any sense now? Well anyways, I'm also looking for a class changing script that shows the character set of the class... Any help would be appreciated very much.

If you had done this in vx, that script exists. I know, cause I requested it and got a script. You can request it, it's a pretty simple script.
On the other hand, if you're doing this in xp, there's a script where you can gain bonuses on level ups. You can find it in the script requests section of this site. (i think i got 2 replies, actually)

I like the sprites, even though I feel like some more pallete can be used. Then again, I think it'll look much better animated, even if it's just standing still/breathing/marching

I don't need to request a script for the class bonuses, by using an invisible state. I'll try and look for the lvl up bonus one...

I'm deciding on if I should make the non-generic ones not change clothing when they change classes :huh: thumbs up or down?

Edit: Also, how am I going to make the scenes at the beginning where all the bad stuff happens? I should also take in the fact that the game takes place in the modern age of civilization... Which means I can't do just a normal scene because there aren't really any modern tilesets out there that seem good to me (I haven't seen a lot so.. ya)

I'm going to do without facesets and hopefully get away with it pretty well. although, I'm going to have do get something for the menu if there will be any.

I"m going to make the traveling system sorta like FFTA, so you just move around to different places and fight and train, and do quests or go on with the storyline quest.

The battler system will be the GTBS but I'm not sure how I'm going to make some monster sprites for it.

I've also decided to use the inquisitors tileset, because of the large sprites, I'll probably going to have to edit the trees so the people's heads don't get stuck in the tree branches and leaves..

I've decided to make the main characters (Priscilla and Maria) change outfits when they change classes... But they're hair is unique so you can tell them apart. Otherwise the other generics look exactly like each other when they are the same class. I'll post a screenshot up soon.

So are there any people out there bored enough? Because I need some class suggestions. Fighter classes only please, which means I"m limited to swords and axes right now because of the animation I need for the bow:

Any classes are welcomed... just be serious.. I will not add a class called "Pedo" unless you have some sort of un arguable reason.

Well anyways, I'm having trouble with dialogue so I'm just rewriting the first scene a bunch for some experience right now... I got a new drawing book, so I might do some line art or something for the character, I'm also going to adding a new character, so expect updates soon.
