Minkoff's Animated Battlers - in the Ground?

Hey- i have a problem with this http://hometown.aol.com/Der%20VVulfman/Files/RMXP/Minkoff/Animated_Battlers.txt script. I have pasted it in a new class over main - and started a test game. Then i wondered that it works ;) but , as you can see here http://images6.theimagehosting.com/wtf.89d.th.JPG[/IMG] - the Battlers and Enemies are there, but not there where they should be. The Battlers are moving, but I can't "recognize" them... Something's wrong ... but what? I didn't change anything, and have pasted the script in a new Testgame. Somebody here that knows what to do? :(

You are still using the RTP default battlers. That explains them being 'sliced' and 'diced.

Animated Battlers typically uses 'Custom' battlers referred to as spritesheet battlers. They are graphic files that have several pics of your character that run together like traditional animation. The original design had 10 pics going down, and 4 pics going across. This allowed you to have 10 types of moves available (fighting, running, blocking, etc), and had 4 frames of animation to make them look like they were moving.

It's been changed BIG time now.

Download one of the newer demos and you'll see the 4 heroes in it using the different battler types available. You have to set the system up to what kind of battler you are using.

Also, I have a 'battler' in every 'Animated Battlers' demo that I named ~position.png. If you set an enemy to use this... when you are in the TROOPS menu, you'll see a bulls-eye where the battler will be positioned. When you have them positioned, change it back to the battler you want.

Now it works, but when i try to use a skill, i get an error:

????? 'Animated Battlers' ? 1281 ??? Argument error ??????
wrong number of arguments (2 for 0)

Is this a problem with the Animations ? Or with the RTAB? ( I don't use RTAB ).

And could you please tell me what the TROOPS menu is? I never seen something like this, i think ...
 
Yay! No way untill theres a german version :) . I had errors like theese, there was allways someone who was able to help me ~ repair them.
But anyway, thanks Atemu for the advice.

Or, and this is a long shot I know, you could actually pay the programmers who spent a significant chunk of their lives developing the software you are using. But hey, that would be silly, right? After all, they don't speak German.
