What is going on with the background there?

The idea was to create a game with only the art assets available at the time of the game Dragon's Crown. The mentioned background is a promotional art piece for the game. I found it to be the closest thing resembling a stage background. Since my game requires a 'long' stage, I decided to spam the image along the whole of it.

have to b fair.. its a good attempt at a side-scroller beat em up adventure rpg, but seriously, you wana hope that vanillaware don't get a whiff of this game, u'll b seriously up for a lawsuit if they ever find out who you are concidering everything in their game is copyrighted, right down to the last pixel.
