Here's a few characters from a web-manga series I'll probably make when I get my graphics tablet. I say that because I'll be able to do the whole thing in much better quality that way as opposed to the usual draw-and-scan thing I've been up to lately...

Left to right, Tomiko, Mina and Keiko... This pic is REALLY old. I've redesigned a few of these characters since then...
Mina Yume was inspired by the "magical girl" anime subgenre (Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, etc.), this time with a more sci-fi type storyline as opposed to the common fantasy magic that the majority is based on.
It all started when Mina was walking to her new high school. Her grandmother's necklace got stolen by some thugs who run off and try to sell it. Due to the bumbling idiocy of the thugs, they all are abandonned by the ones responsible for fencing it, and just in time to get their butts handed to them by a mysterious little robot who takes the necklace and searches for it's rightful owner.
After school, Mina is preparing for cheerleading practice, after being trash-talked by another cheerleader who's objective is to crush her spirit, when she and her friend Keiko are suddenly approached by the robot...
He introduces himself as Tronas, the former chancellor of the most powerful kingdom in the world at a time far in the future, Neo Venice. He informs Mina that she is the ancestor of the royal family of Neo Venice, and she now has him at her command due to the fact that she's the closest thing to being his queen in the present. Tronas came to the present by accident during a fight with an evil robot, and once led a resistance in charge of fighting the evil Madame Elanda, who has taken over a major part of Neo Venice, the floating land of Skyline Venice. However, a specific part that rests on the ground, Earthbound Venice remains free from her control, and is constantly at war with Skyline due to the fact that the resistance is based in Earthbound. What's worse is now that Elanda has discovered time travel, she has begun sending monsters created by her twisted science to go to the present and steal "Lightforce", an energy that only existed before the year 2040, and it's at it's prime in Mina's present.
If Elanda gets enough lightforce, she'll be able to take over the universe! To keep that from happening, Tronas bestows cybernetic powers on Mina and her friends Keiko, Tomiko and Misha, and forms the Chrono Sentinels, heroes who protect the present from the evils of the future!

This is Mina Yume's official mysterious super-powered dude that appears with a distinct fanfare whenever he pops in to save the day when our hero gets into more of a pickle than she can handle. No one knows who exactly the Black Knight is, or where he came from, but what's certain is he has a beam-lance, and it hurts... and burns...O.o

Just two of Elanda's many mutated monstrosities that do her bidding. The one on the left is Cephaloreth, a giant anthropomorphic squid who can change his shape, color, and texture at will. On the right, we have Loxie, a veeery creepy, svelte, woman-like creature with prehensile hair.

And last but not least, here's Madame Elanda, the evil mastermind behind it all. She's both a mad scientist and evil dictator. Boobs too big, you say? It's because of a hormonal imbalance that was caused by radical self-experimentation.
