Migraines

My whole day has been pretty much taken up today because of a migraine. I've missed some important stuff at school as well as an exam. So it got me wondering. How many people here suffer from Migraines, and what symptoms do you get? I get every possible symptom you can list during a migraine. Basically, have a look here, at what wikipedia lists:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraine#Signs_and_symptoms

So, who else suffers from them, and what symptoms do you get? Also, what have you found helps?

It's inherited, so I was told.
My father and my twin sister have Migrains. I have them too, but very rarely. The weirdest thing is, they seem to be triggered by loud constant noise, not by certain foods like my father/sister's migrains.
When I get one, all I wanna do is lock myself in a dark, quiet room and sleep it over. About the symptoms, it's like the Nurofen pills commercial: It's like a little man with a huge hammer knocking my head from within :|
The smallest noise makes it hurt more and I can't concentrate enough to speak a full sentence.

Yeah, it's normally inherited somewhere in your family. But of the people in my family, I'm the only one who suffers with the aura phase of the migraine.

I get headaches all the time. I tend to always have some sort of headache (usually just a bit that I feel if I move my head too fast), but I also get some pretty nasty migraines. When they get to their worst, I get nauseous, extremely sensitive to both light and sound, and moving at all makes it worse. They have usually been triggered by prolonged exposure to loud noise, although they have occasionally been triggered by eating something as well. (The single worst headache I ever had was from these vanilla chips in this one kind of ice cream. That one hurt so much that all I could do was lie down with my eyes shut, not moving, while I wanted to throw up. Eventually, it got to the point where I did throw up, and I felt much better shortly thereafter.)

Thing is, this is a hindrance to me, since my single favorite thing to do is programming, followed by reading as a close second. While the computer tends not to give me headaches, reading for prolonged periods of time can result in a nasty one once I lose focus on the book. (It builds up over time, but I'm too engrossed in the book to notice)
