mid-game class change?

How can I get my character to change classes half-way through the game? Like Cecil from FFIIus.
More specifically, I just need his class name to look different and for his sprite to change a little. He's changing from a Knight to a Paladin.
Hmm, maybe I should just "switch" the main character to a different version of himself as a paladin? Is that what you would do? or do I need some script?

Make an event make it do Change Hero Graphic and change Class (Easier.)

And I guess since it's a similar class, I will just copy and paste almost everything in the class database. Thanks for your help.
