Metroid Map_men? System

I need a Map System like the ones from the SNES or GB Metroid Games...

Example:

Player reaches a place where a Map is build ( activated by a switch or an array..etc )
The Minimap shows this:

blue rooms are explored.. but you?re not in
red room is the room the player stays in
everything unexplored isn?t visible

BUT..
Now the Hero reaches the next room.. The Map shows:

You see...
The new room is added... On the map is a tile with a terrain choosen by me.. of the player passes the tile.. the first room on the map got a hole ( like a door )...

So the player explores more and more... And at the End it can look like this:

But the Map will not only be shown in a Minimap.. It?ll be shown in a Men? too...

Any Idea how to make it???

My idea would be to add a picture to a scene after each map has been entered, then call the scene with Input.trigger? and add it to the menu as well.

I like this idea, I will have a go at it.

Supply me with the graphics you want for it.

PS. Do you want the map visible and darkened in the background like Super Metroid?

I just need the Pictures to be shown...

Supply me with the graphics you want for it.

I think because the maps min size is 20x15...
The Pictures should be a a part of it.. perhaps a rectangle with the size 20x15 ( pixels ).. or a multiple of this..
What the picture shows isn?t important...

Best is if i can use it for a picture based men? ( eventcoded )...
