Mashing around some ideas [Northern Lights]

I don't want to be long winded so ill keep things short. Heres some ideas ive been bouncing around in my head for the past couple weeks, i figured i might as well write them down before i forget them! Anyway this is what ive been able to do in my spare time, cc it for me.

Name: Northern Lights
Genre: Turn Based Strategy

Yea kinda ignore this part for a bit, still need to do alot of work on it :box:
Bartholomew Stein
Jonah Fisher
Francis Tucker
Gerald Hess
Thomas Whitfield
In the thick foggy metropolis of Estifal at the dawn of modern science, new technologies are being developed only waiting for the right persons to harness their power. This clashes with the ancient magics of aeons past. Yet in a small district of Estifal they find a way to co-exist, at a school for the arts, where young minds are molded into bright futures. Where grinding gears and pulsating pistons meet the dazzling wizardry and powerful magic of the ancients to form a highly skilled body of students and professors.

Plot summary: Bartholomew Stein a professor at a one of the most renown universities in the northern hemisphere for the study of steam works and engineering stumbles across one of the greatest discoveries of his era, a more efficient way of powering the now steam driven objects that control the world by using something which he called electricity. In its current state the limitations are many and real world solutions for the new power source are minute at best. While doing his rounds Jonah, a simple custodian at this university happens across the professor conducting his experiments. There had been rumors floating around the campus of strange lights and sounds being emitted from the block that housed the professor's personal quarters and laboratory but not being a nosy person Jonah decided to leave it be. This went on for quite a while until while swabbing the glossy marble tiles in the main office building an explosion rang out across the campus. Mop in hand Jonah rushes over to the engineering block only to find Stein's quarters and laboratory completely destroyed and there on the floor, the lifeless body of the professor. Through a window that had been blown out he could make out three figures fleeing the scene, he manages to get a good look at one of the figures. Within minutes the royal police arrive at the scene to find the lifeless body of the professor.
The intellectual community was stricken with rage and grief, they prompted their political counterparts to do something about the matter immediately. The high minister Thomas Whitfield assigned Constable Gerald Hess to investigate the matter, by then the case was very high profile and needed to be drenched before it got out of control. There were questions flying left and right which he had no answer to. With little to no usable evidence and no leads the constable concocts a scheme to get himself promoted and get rid of the whole Stein scandal. Jonah with no criminal record or previous history of violence was arrested for the murder of Bartholomew Stein along with 5 lesser counts which landed him two consecutive life sentences in a maximum security prison. On the way to the prison the coach carrying Jonah is halted and the guards killed, the door is bashed open and there stood a stranger holding out his had shouting, “Come on!, we haven't got all day!”. Jonah leaps from the van and into an awaiting buggy, to where only time will tell.

Mastery- There are NO set classes in the game, instead the player is given a blank sheet and asked what he/she wants to do, the mastery tree branches off into 6 directions it us up to the players to decide which is best for them. Any character can use any skill or any piece of armor or weaponry in the game, though effectiveness with them comes with at a price, as the player moves deeper into a tree the upgrade costs become more expensive but the pay off is the increase in effectiveness is worth it. With this system, the player is given 100% control over the way their characters develop game play wise.
MP-(Mastery Point) With every level characters are granted 3 mastery points which can be used to specialize their abilities into unique builds. The maximum level is 50
MS- Once any character reaches level 5 they are able to choose a mastery. This is the anchor on which all other mastery trees are set upon, Once obtained the other six can be unlocked. With every rank that is gained on the mastery tree three items are unlocked with it, weather it be a skill, stat or passive ability.
