Maps name on game!

I think its pretty obvious what they want... they want the name of the map the person is in to be displayed in some way.  only thing i could suggest is find a custom menu script with that feature. otherwise you night spend a lot of time eventing if its even possible to do like that. or modify your current menu to display it. but im guessing you dont know ruby so...

How can it be obvious? I mean:
Chromaticated, the tag shows XP.
Boudragon, I percieved it totally differently, and there's no way of telling who can be right from a question that's only one sentence long. Does he want it to appear only when you enter the map then dissapear? Be displayed while on the map in some sort of HUD window? Be displayed in the menu? Be displayed with a regular show text event after player transfer? Be shown under a selectable popup in the menu? The list goes on.
These are the sort of things that can be fixed with detail.

It was a pretty empty question. Anyone can guess what Harwn wants, being around here long enough, but you shouldn't have to guess. Part of the time I guess at what someone wants, put effort into getting it, and its not close to what they wanted, because they didn't say this or that.

Anyways, I suggest you take a look at DerVV's Forum Script Listing under graphics/map effects/something that works. Even searching "Map Name" in the script section will give you a few ideas.

Sorry, i couldn't come to the forum for a time, you know other things to do...
Well i'm sorry for woldn't be more specific, but i was meaning on my topic if i could show maps names on the game, you know... If the area where you are calls... "Such Village" ont he game when you enter there, a sign will show you "Such Village". To know where you are, and it look so good, jejeje... at least i guess ^ ^
Well i was looking on the SephirothSpawn's replly and no one worked, maybe i'm so noob and i dont know how to add the scripts well... ^. ^'
But, please if someone can gives me a guide for newbies... xP complete scripts and for XP version and not for VX... Please xP Well i will waiting, and thanks for help me! Sorry for my english i'm not expert jejej...

Wow....that was a massive jumble that I still don't fully understand...

basicly, you want something like what Chromaticed posted, but just for XP, right? or do you want it to show in the menu? If any of the scripts that Sephiroth posted are for XP, then you put them, below all the default scripts, but above the script main...

I would recomend using the seach function on the site...(that's why they have it...) and searching for something like, Map Name Display, or Pop up map name for XP. Search around and see what you can find...

What part of "how to use it" don't you understand? ;o
Just copy the big bunch of text (script) from the spoiler, open RMXP, open script editor, put it above a script called Main. It needs SDK tho and the SDK needs to be above it. ;o

If you don't use the SDK and want another one, the only one I can recall is MOGs show map name script. Which is very good as well and doesn't need any other scripts. You can look for it. ;)

edit: Its not SO much work to make it with events... it just gets image-heavy...

you make a template for your image (the brown 'spot' in my sceeny)

and then you copy it a lot, then you put the name of your map in it with a image-editor (I used paint.net)
