Basically I will be posting the WIPs of the sprites, and tilesets I will be using in my project. They are all free to use as well, but credit is required. Please place in depth comments and/or critique or as in depth as you can get as I won't improve if I'm not told how to. I will place credit to what ever material I used for the tilesets and possibly character sets.

I've already told you I don't like the eyes. It feels like theres too much space in between. But I do like the clothes and the hair on the second one. I would have to say the hair on the first one needs work. The lines in the hair bother me, maybe making them lighter or something in the middle.

I did very little to the eyes....It's just the RTP template..so I have no idea what you're talking about when you say the eyes are too far apart.

They're the exact same distance in the dark-skinned one as the RTP's. In the blonde girl, they're really far apart, though.

Malick (er, Malachi, heh), I think you've come a long way. The expression in the little dark skinned dude is pretty cute!

If you're gonna make a shadow under them I'd advise either doing a lighter one or a semi-transparent one. It's hard to tell where his feet end in the little pose he's doing with the "?" bubble. Especially to visually-challenged people like myself ;).

I think you may be trying to over-indulge yourself with detail on these little guys, though. They're so small, they don't have a whole lot of room to demonstrate folds in clothes or individual hair strands. Simplify, and imply detail with hints of shading/highlights, instead of outlining detail with dark colors. ^_^

Awwww! The lil dark skinned elf guy is so cute!! Try adding a bit more contrast to the pallete you are using though, it's hard to make out all the details. All in all however, very nice!

HAHA! Thanks for the advice, Venetia and Skye. I'll try and tone down on the details. I just like adding details, though. I dunno why.

I was just wondering if there was a way I could work with the crossed arms. It just doesn't look right to me for some reason..

People think he is an elf because of the pointy ears!
Are you trying to make his arms crossed? Or are his hands together like he's saying "excellent" or something?  <- opps, after reading the above post, you seem to be having trouble with crossed arms! Hmm, firstly, you shouldn't worry about showing the hands.  I'm wearing long sleeves right now, and when I cross my arms, I usually do not see my hands unles they are resting on my elbows.  With this sprite, you should either maybe get rid of the hands showing (try just having sleeves?).  Cause, as I said previously, it looks to me like he's going to rub his hands together any minute and say: "excellent".  Or, if you keep having trouble with the cross arms, try something else--hands in pockets? Etc.

It looks very nice so far, though. ^^ Love the expression on the sprite.

Thanks for that, but they're not really sleeves, but I think it would still apply to them anyway.
I may actually try hands in the pockets...never thought of that! XD! I'll post the result later.
