Making games into .swf?

Is there any way to make games into .swf files?

not unless you're using igmaker, which natively exports to .swf. flash files are fundamentally different from executables, especially things such as rpg maker executables, which depend entirely on outside files in the same directory. igmaker only exports to .swf because it arranges everything according to how computers read .swf files -- i.e. the interpreter gives instructions in Actionscript instead of Ruby, etc.

no, but I'm sure it's a lovely place. if their flagship games are any indication, they have a large number of beautiful creative souls working on their things. I'm just laughing at them because now they also have you

Honestly, though... if you are doing stuff at a flash community... Why not use flash? Learn how to use it and be happy at Kongregate.

Unless of course it is to complicated for you. In which case you'd have to stick with rm.

When it comes to making flash files, work in flash.
Its just the easest way in my opinion.

On a side note, has anybody seen FlashPortal?
I remember right before the launch, I was telling the admins of the site how to do basic flash stuff on the forums.
Then when the site opened up officially, my works were turned down for submission while rather aweful stick figure flashes were being featured.

I never visited the site again.
