Making Color Transparent On Images

Well, I'm working on creating a darkness effect right now, and I have a black page with a white circle in the middle. How do I make the circle transparent?

High Hopes

Awesome Bro

If you're using Gimp, make your background transparent. Then make another layer. Select black as your foreground color. Go to the blend tool, and select the "FG to Transparent" gradient. There will be a small checkbox next to it that has a set of arrows. Check that to reverse the gradient, then select "radial" from the shape menu. Then use the blend tool to make your gradient.

Haha, thanks!

I tried getting GIMP to work, but for some reason whenever I would start it... it would just freeze. It worked on my OLDER computer... *shrug*

Once again, thanks for the help!
