Major problem with my project...

So... today I was test playing my project, as you do, when I noticed something strange. My character seemed to have the ability to walk over$$ walls. I thought this was quite strange, but I figured maybe I'd accidentally changed the passage settings of the walls... so I closed the test play, looked at the passage settings, and everything was fine. I thought it might've been some one time error, so I tried again. Same thing happened, and I also saw other events (more specifically, people who are randomly walking) being able to walk through walls too!

Then I soon noticed that for some reason everything could walk over every single tile in tilemap A. I put my character out in the world map, and he was able to walk over the water. But for the other tilemaps, everything was normal. He couldn't walk over a piano or another object from Tilemaps B-E, just everything on Tilemap A acted like it was below the Hero.

While being able to walk over walls and water would be quite awesome, I really would rather it not happen as it would limit the restriction in the game. I don't want someone to be able to walk directly from the first island to the last one as soon as they leave the first town. Of course, they'd die, but that's not the point.

I have no idea what's happened, and I Have no idea how to even check to see. I've tried having a look at the database, I even tried to understand the scripting language, both to no effect.

This doesn't happen with any other projects. I tested this by making a new random project and trying to get the hero to walk through various walls and other obstructions from tilemap A, fortunately, it didn't work.

I'm using RPG VX if that helps.

I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me, because this is really pissing me off as I've worked for a fair amount of time on this game. The last few projects I attempted have failed due to me not understanding anything, but through the amount of trial and error that I went through, I now finally understand a lot more about using the RPG makers, and this is the first project that I actually feel I can complete with good quality. So some help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Just some things you could check
(probably won't be these, but i know i've done this a few times)

When you checked the tileset for passability, did you check the right tileset? (not trying to say you're foolish, but i have done this before)
Have you checked for things being on the wrong layers?
For the events, are they set to 'through', meaning they can walk through walls and such?

Just some nooby things to look out for.

I just checked all of those things, none of them seem to be the problem.

I'm not using any scripts aside from the default. I hadn't even opened the script until this happened, and while I could understand a bit of it, most of it just went way over my head. Heh.

Anyway, do you think it'd work if I were to go through the tedious process of copying every map from one project to another, copying all the items, enemies, and so on? I'll try doing that now and tell you if it works.

If you want to do that there's a much simpler way, replace the appropriate files in the Data folder. Note that if you replace maps you'll have to remap the ones you've already done. I wouldn't copy the items, enemies, or that kind of stuff, because it doesn't really seem to affect your problem.
