Magic Skill System

Hi guys,
For my game I want to have a magic system based on the four elements.
What I´d like to have is the ability to level up those elements seperate from each other, meaning you can become proficient in Fire and Earth, for example.
This has the use that, of course, your fire and earth based spells, or combination spells using those, get more powerful. Every level up you gain one, or a couple of, skill points to allocate in these elements.
Is there any way/script that can do this? Im using the XAS battle system, so compatibility has to be there. Of course I'm willing to spend time to modify parts.

I hope there is something that works for me:)
 
You can certainly do this with variables. It would be a rather complex system, but I was playing around with something similar at one point. It gets a bit more complicated when you want to assign points for the players to assign. I don't want to promise that I'll help as I'm not sure what life will bring my way, but if you could tell us what maker you're using and link to the script you're using, it would be helpful. :)
