Maestro's Pixel Shoppe

The reason why it seems flat is due to two things. The first, is the coloured background that I work from. It lessens the strength of the overall outline. The second factor is that there isn't too many highlights on it just yet (because I'm not done with it). That will also be fixed the next time I post an update.

I'll consider the colour changes and I'm also thinking about adding more detail (like there isn't enough already).

Oh... my... god! What a fantastic piece of work! What a great way to start the new year, with a sprite such as this! Wow. My mind is blown. I have to agree with whoever posted that the second sprite looks a tad flat. Otherwise, I must say: the ONLY problem with these sprites is that they're not done. Fantastic work, Maestro.
 
I've completely revamped this entire thread since I had it moved from Resource Analysis to Design and Development. For a boat load of information and a few updates on the cyborg sprite, please visit the first post. :)
