Again, thank you everyone. Chapter 2 will be a little ways away, but not too long. I am also still working on my main project Black. (Funny, this game ties into black ha ha ha ha)
Anyhow, I'm pretty sure a walkthrough is being made. Including game secrets and such. Anyone interested can click my signature and see if it is finished.
Thanks again everyone. I myself never thought this little project would be a success. But I'm very happy it is. Now, if only I can finish the custom menu for it... (Re-opens project)

Oh by the way. I just wanted to mention that I thought it was a little weird that it is in Antarctica. Building a mansion there is nothing short of impossible and there'd be no way to keep it warm. The only buildings in Antarctica tend to be high tech research facilities.

I noticed a crow flying around and snow outside in one of the scenes. There are no crows in Antarctica. If Im not mistaken too, Antarctica is considered a desert, thus it doesn't really snow there so much as gusts of wind blow ice around.

If I may make a suggestion, maybe change your location Alaska, Norway, or upper Canada?

Shame Antarctica isn't more hospitable for a haunted mansion, because I'd love to see the main character run into a Shoggoth or something =(.

lol. I never said I would change the location. Just alter a few details in game. Like the crow and such. Uncle Geoff (The man who built the house ) was a millionare. That can be used to explain the natural gas and such used by the house.

Lol ohhh I see. Alright, that makes more sense. Perhaps add something about how insane it is for him to have built it here and writing it off as he is eccentric or something.

Oh and, If I'm being a bit imposing I'm quite sorry. The game is wonderful the way it is already, though I thought maybe a couple suggestions might be a bit helpful. They're only my opinions however.

No problem. By the end of Chapter 3 I expect a lot of revisions to be made to the story from suggestions. That's how I did Under. I will give a small hint about Chapter 2 though. You don't start the game off as Vain.

I got scared when my friend came on, he has a theme song for AIM, it played while I was in that dark area, i'm like WTF!

Anyway, glad to hear Chapter 2 is coming out moderately soon. Like other people said, I was disappointed that it was so short. I'm ready for another dosage of tough puzzles and freakish scares.

Wow, this sounds pretty scary from all these replies...Will have to try it! I played another rmxp horror game, I forget its name but it was really good, hopefully this will be even scarier.

Just make sure your audio is on. That's where alot of the terror comes from.

Dying was the least scary part.

To be honest, I have no idea why I downloaded this. Me and horror are not very good friends at all because I am very, very easily scared and even just things like sudden loud noises send make me scream and curl up into a ball. I almost didn't get past the skeleton picture and the 'oh shit' noise that kept playing was terrifying. But the comic sans 'you have died' sort of ruined the atmosphere and it's now my comfort blanket. When it starts getting scary I just go die a few times and I feel much better BD

If it's possible, it might be good to have instead of just 'You have died' after the screen goes black maybe something like 'Your timing was poor, you step onto the trap and spikes tear into your feet, sending you falling to the ground with a loud thud. Too late you realize that you are now lying on the trap and desperately try to pull yourself away before the spikes rise a second time. You fail.' or 'As your feet touch the ground a jet of flames engulfs you. In your frantic attempts to get out of the fire, you fall backward into the hole you just cleared.' (except better written, obviously. I can't write scary.) like in shadowgate (One of a few games I refused to play ever again because the game over terrified me so much). And maybe a font other than comic sans

Except I sort of hope you ignore this advise because if you do that I won't be able to play it :x

Now that's a good idea. I will be sure to figure something out better than the current "You died" I will edit it in with the new download. (There are a few spelling errors and other things that need addressing )
It will take me some time with the font because I am horrible at picking fonts, but I really agree with you there.

I was looking forward to this, and when it's done I got no time to play it = =;; After exams and after I finished my contest game, this will be the first thing I play. I'll make sure to come back with a review ^ ^

I'm sorry to bring up something negative after having praised your game so much, but that comment about dying reminded me of one glitch. When you step onto the spikes, sometimes, you end up dying twice rather than once.

Actually, I did care. It started to get very annoying after a while.

And in the barn you can walk up walls. Just pointing it out.
