Looking for Suggestions

So I have all kinds of great ideas for music but there's always one major problem that protests: No means of recording.
I usually write it all on piano, but I have absolutely no knowledge on how to write down 'sheet' music.
The music is good, or so I'm told by my friends, and I really am looking for a way to record it.

My friend owns a professional recording studio where my band usually practices and I can use it for free, but there's a problem there too; he's usually working at the best times for me to come in and lay down some tracks, and I can't really just waltz in without him there and start jiving the tracks.

Any suggestions on how I could possibly write down - or learn to write down - some of this music on sheet, or an easy to learn piano mixer program?

Much thanks :)

Hah, I play the guitar and can only play by ear. I've never had a lesson in my life :x I guess sheet music is out of the question, unless you can record the music on a phone until you get to the studio or something. If this helps, then here you go: http://www.charlieburrus.com/MathInMusi ... 20Keys.GIF

Just write down in what order you press the keys, and make it more advanced as you see fit. Good luck to you :D

seriously dont go for a sequencer program just learn how to read music and get sibelius or finale, its much easier

besides writing music is pretty damn easy once you get the handle for it

I took piano lessons for 5 years when I was a kid. But the whole 'reading notes' was never my thing, and what was in my head left me a while ago.

Thanks moog, you're a great pal. :P

Really, thanks Skyler for the picture, I'll try to write it down.
*studies the diagram*...

Right so, I know the names of keys and where they go, I just meant I can't read notes on a sheet XD Like the whole lines gig and whatnot...
Oh well. I'll probably just hit up some recording at the studio some time.
Tomorrow I'm going, but its to record church stuff, but I might be able to fit in some of that other stuff. :)

sure thing dude :3

srsly tho, download finale and mess around with it, youll have alot of fun and it will help alot

IF your piano is a digital piano try looking for a midi input/ouput plugs. If you have them then get finale like moog said, get a midi/usb adapter like M-Audio's midisport 1x1(bout 40$) and set the tempo into finale and then record away...... Should write it all down for ya.....
