Looking for Critique

I was compose something for my next album and I thought it sounded pretty nice, but it also sounds rather..."unique". I was hoping to get a few critiques.

Song Link: Misadventures

Tell me what you think. Any particular mood/scene you could place it in?

It's pretty nice overall, but-but-but:

That driving steady Violin that you open it with.. it works when there's allot of music layered over it but when you only have 1 or 2 other layers over it it kind of overpowers the melody and in some cases the rhythm doesn't always sync up properly and it makes it feel choppy in spots.

Well, as your strings do a lot of the talking; It's like an semi-omnious scene, where a clash between a mighty king and an powerful opposer, and the clash of words come close to a fight..... or a war, maybe?! The Hits sure bring some dramaticity to it. I can notice the low string rythm you use often in your songs, which is like a 'Jstreet signature' thing. All I would say Is to slightly extend the length the harmonious parts (the parts before the crash hits), because they sound soo good. You're such a tease. :(

I picture a tense war room, where an army is plotting and planning or reacting to surprise attack from the opposing forces. But I also think that the strings overwhelm the song a bit.

ok, i reckon you should either put something in at the beginning to cover the annoying beat that goes through out the whole song, or just change it to something less in your face and annoying.. i can't emphasize how annoying it is. other than that, i dont see a problem :D

Its Tense and Epic...you can realy tell you love your Tactical and War type games...personally i'd say leave it...it practically spews Jstreet(thats a good thing lol).

well thats a great song. here's what i think of it. I could use that song in a lot a diferrent ways. To me this song is just a starter for a situation kinda big fight or big action. It really is a pre action song.
you can use it in a pursuit. Or you can use it just before a big boss fight.
anyway its a pre-action song and a good one.

I'm not a music expert, so please excuse my ignorance when it comes to the instruments used here.

I enjoyed the piece, but the string background (bass?) bothered me in some parts. It wasn't that it was particularly loud or fast, but simply that it just seemed like the beat was off slightly. The last note would hit about 2 seconds after I'd expect it to, resulting in much less of a flowing feeling.

I much prefered when the melody jumped in, as it created a completely different ambiance. I could see it play in a castle during a meeting with the military general or when some kind of tactic was being discussed. In some ways, it reminded me of FF8 when their missions were being planned.

I see a mighty army marching down the streets. All of the sudden they clash into a great battle and perservere onto the next battle, continuing on and on. Unstopable no matter how many battles they fight, no one can stop them. I like the song! Very good use of the string and procussion families. It is a very intense song that suits a very serious storyline. If this were "Orchestra Idol", I'd give you a 4.9/5. 0.1 points cause I am not serious enough for this song, and I don't think it is useful in a 2D game. I really relate it to FFXII. I don't know why lol. Well, another great job!

It certainly comes across as epic toned, and the style I like for that matter. I could see it in one of those scenes building up to a grand battle, or any big event for that matter. I think it'd sound good if you added on big build up of noise before you faded it off.
