Loacting the Activation Code.....

I've seen topics a little like this before while searching around but none really explain what I need. When I bought RPG Maker XP a while back, I DID WRITE DOWN THE ACTIVATION CODE. But, unfortunatly, when we moved, the paper that it was on was lost in the mess, Probably thrown away. I've searched through all of my computer stuff with no luck in finding it. Anyways, I just found out that I am getting a new laptop for christmas. I want to put RPG Maker on it. But without the activation code, I can't do that, I can only use the trial. I have the full paid for version on my desktop. Is there any way to find the activation code? It has to be stored somewhere on the computer. Or is the only way to get this again to email the company. I still have the email with the serial code, but that activation code didn't work. I had to use the serial code to generate one. Now when I try to do that, it says that this code has already been used. Is there anyway to tell on the computer what the activation code is? Thanks!

(BTW-If this shouldn't be posted, please delete it.)

Well, you definitely don't want to repurchase RPG Maker, I mean, $60 is a handsome amount of money. The worst scenario would be not being able to get it, but the second worst would be having to contact Enterbrain. Heh, I wouldn't consider that a bad thing, but it seems that it's the best thing you can do. You can e-mail them I believe, but I don't know if you'll expect a reply regarding your positive hopes, y'know? It does help having the serial code, however that other solution made it bad...maybe you should check your e-mail records again? That's all my help, it's probably useless advice you realized already. XD But oh well.

I know that I have the email. I've tried installing on my other computer. (really really old) The activation code that was in the email never did actually work. I had to use the serial code to generate my activation code. and it was completely different. maybe I can email them with the serial code and the receipt if I can find it. That is probably stored on paypal somewhere........

Considering that it is on the Internet (The receipt), especially something like Paypal, hopefully you can find at least one record or so on that. I don't have a Paypal account so I do not know how its online money stuff works. And concerning the false activation code, the one you said that didn't work, that sucks, either on Enterbrain's part or yours. Well, 'least you have the serial number. Just some shread of proof that you ordered RPG-XP through Paypal and Enterbrain probably would reconsider or something. If they ignore, then those comments I heard some while agoes of Enterbrain's customer service must be true...XD
