Lionriders

The skies are always golden in an eternal sunset. The wind smells of burnt metal. The grass is the color of rust. The world is old, the planet is dying.

Two factions fight to survive. The guilds of the cities and the nomads of the plains constantly duel for the rights to the Dying World. A plague of rot has been spreading throughout both the cities and the plains, wildly killing people, animals and vegetation. It only fuels more war.

Leather Neverdie was raised as a nomad. She is infected with the Blue Plague, a strand of the great disease that kills slower than the Red, and is not contagious, though her body is slowly rotting alive. After an attack on her tribe by a city's war guild, she is left in the dusty plain, thought dead. Recovered by a mysterious group of nomads who ride on the backs of lions, she will learn the ways of an ancient people and take her place to stop the wars and restore the world to order.

Calvin Firebrand is a member of the war guild from the Iron Sun City. After discovering that he is going to be executed in order for another to take his position in the guild, he flees the cities. He meets Leather, and joins her in her search.

Jarell Rattlesword is a member of the Lionriders, although he has suffered the ultimate shame, as his lion was killed in battle and he was left alive. He joins Leather and Calvin with the hopes of restoring his pride.

Ladada Whitesmile is Leather's best friend, and a member of her original tribe. She was enslaved by the war guild that attacked the tribe, and after witnessing the brutality she is forced to endure day after day, Leather sets her mind on freeing her.

Known only as Cloaker, the leader of the underground thieves guild delights in spreading chaos throughout the streets of the cities. He doesn't work directly, but has an incredible network of contacts through which he controls the politics of the cities.

Okay, finally have some time to sit down and give a little update.

Aura System:
The Dying World has streams of aura flowing over it, like invisible rivers of magical currents that flow through the air and the earth. Each being, animal, vegetable or mineral, can tap into that flow. There are five types of auras: white, blue, black, red and green, each one representing the different ways of existence and patterns of life. Everything of a color can draw from anything else of the came color, and within the five-color cycle there are natural strengths and weaknesses between the differing auras.

In battle, this is represented in a variety of ways. The biggest one is the draw command. As the game (and the world) does not have any traditional magic at all, but rather uses this aura system, there is no magic command. Instead, by drawing on your allies, enemies, equipment, and environment, characters will gain special abilities that will naturally trigger when a normal attack is commanded. The abilities will (hopefully) be commanded as the attack is executed- for example, you would be required to hit a certain key as the blow connects in order to turn it into an aura combo. The different types of attacks depend on how much aura is drawn from the surrounding areas. This can work both ways, however- your opponents can draw aura from you if your characters share the colors of your enemies.​
 
Wow, I am very surprised at your Aura system. But I'm glad you posted it today because I can feel comfortable about the fact I came up with and discussed it with Anaryu and Artbane two days ago, otherwise I'd be afraid of stealing the idea. Mine isn't based on colors (instead based on magic types, like Nature/Fire/Frost/Arcane/Shadow/Holy), but very closely mimics the Draw system that you are describing.
