Okay, I stumbled upon a very handy little feature a few weeks ago that I dont think many people know about.
It is the option to make things like fogs and charsets Add or subtract their colors from whatever is behind it.
Adding makes them lighter, while subtracting makes them darker.
After I figured this out, I began making a charset that would place a glow around a fire, or a lamp or something like that.
I tried a lot of different things, and then eventually came out to what I am about to show you.
Here is the before and after picture;

See the difference? ^_^
I have included a demo on how to use these files in connection with Near Fantastica's Particle engine.
What you see in this image is only one frame of a animation that looks so good when it is not a still image!
Please, download the demo and check it out for yourself.
Here is the image for the glow, (remember, in the graphic chooser for the events, remember to set this event to a 150 opacity and a blending mode of "Add".)
Here is the link to the demo;

Enjoy, and please credit me if used!

This image was resized when I placed it into photobucket, because it is larger than 1 megabyte in size.
Here is the link to download it, or you can just download the Demo

One thing you need to know about these effects... when making the event which has the graphic in it, place the event 2 tiles under where you need the glow to be, and set it to "Always on top, and Through and Stop Animation."
There is another glow as well, and it is blue for blue/white lights.
