Less Than Three

I'm using the event logic I made for this in my secret project just for full motion animated scenes (Like from an anime or something!)

Oh, ok. Neat. So was this basically a test demo/practice for the secret project, so you could share with people what to look forward to, and get feed back for it? Just curious...

Nah I was just messing with events, I made this quick sunset and thought "I can implement this eventted system in my Secret Project", much like how my Action VX sentry guns found their way into the secret project.
I write down an event idea on a piece of paper, make it in a project and then think about how I can use it, I have some spare event systems that are on hard drive not being used right now, not all of them will find their way into a project.

This sunset is a peaceful scene rather than a test demo/practice. It isn't spectacular at all, download the VX RTP and see for yourself.

Oh alright. How did you do the animation? with a bunch of show pictures, where in each picture something little changes, or a single picture with move on it, or both? Sorry for the dumb question, but I can't see it for myself, so I thought I'd ask.

Show picture but using constantly changing variables the position is manipulated smoothly, with this though I made it every 2 seconds so it isn't smoothly and the sun only goes along a Y axis.
When I start on some full motion animations you'll be able to see it run smoothly, all I'd have to do is right a simple set of variable rules and I can get an object move smoothly in any path I want. (All on just 1 event)

It can't be all that bad if Des had nothing evil to say about it.
If my laptop had VX I'd try it out.

And anyways, I don't see the problem with this.
It's a short game with original graphics and it's different.
This may very well be better than any other games posted here.
At least this one is finished.

I should prolly get on my PC and try it out.

I don't see what everyone's problem is I think its artistic in an abstract kind of way

For tons of reasons. Either, beause there's nothing better to do than to insult someones project, they're actually giving constructive critizism, but it comes off as rude, or in some cases, it makes them feel better about themself. Idk...People do strange stuff. It's only human nature to be an asshole sometimes.

And I agree with you xephyr14, it is cool, but to a lot a people, something has to be amazing, or else it's considered crap. I've read so many forums where somebody new to rpg maker posts a game thread, and people just say it sucks...I mean seriously, I can't help, but think to myself sometimes, "can't you find something better to do, or at least say something helpfull or nice?"

Although, people say a lot of nice and helpfull things too, don't get me wrong...

It's a great little video. There's really nothing wrong with it unless you spend an hour trying to find something. lol

or maybe because the person giving critique finds something genuinely wrong with it? I'm constantly amazed at where some people draw the line for "flaming." things don't necessarily have to have little pleasant "but this and this is good" moments mixed in, although it's a good idea if it's clear that the author is making a sincere effort but doesn't know exactly what he's doing right or wrong. besides, there's so little to offer critique on here that people can't really take a mixed-bag approach all that easily.

For me it would be a "you suck, all your projects suck, get off this website, you suck at everything you try"

Serious, I could have made a better sunset scene but I was lazy and through these graphics over an event system, nothing special.
But as a project, it's a scene with a sunset and is rather calm. Not much to be said?

Yeah, I didn't necessarily mean just this project. I was saying in general. But whatever, it was on my mind, so I felt like telling. lol
