So yeah, time for me to join in on the brawl... let this be a fair battle - as long as my side wins. :biggrin:

Only finished works following btw... let's see how you like my beginner's stuff.

Took me about four to six hours to complete (chatting at the same time though), done while listening mainly to The Offspring and the Guilty Gear Sound Complete Box... she wants you to check her out up-close, only for recognizing the hair shading of course ^^

Note: As for now, I guess I'm not too bad, but I never end up anywhere good, so yeah... however this turns out, it's one hell of a contest to participate, and it's a nice reason to get my lazy ass back to pixel art once more...

Wow, this is very nice, great job. I think that the only thing I can say is to make the shading ramp/blend more as shadows instead as layers on top of others. They are well placed though, so I guess try to make them blend more and your as good as golden. :biggrin:

Thanks... I was talking about shading with Rave before, and she was like "fuck you, and add contrast to the hair!!!"... so yeah, lemme listen to the girl who helped me improve my newest artwork girl's hair color as well (which you probably didn'T see because I had it like posted once on IRC ^^)... I only added a slight contrast to the hair though, I dunno... it does make a difference, I guess, so thanks for the input there (to you as well, Rave )

dude that is amazing. I like the (what I like to call) anime shading. it brings pixel art to life in my opinion. Its the same thing I am trying to do with an HK edit. good luck on future submissions.

Heh, thanks... I'm not too fond of my shading skills, and being a scripter mainly, I have no idea how comparatively good or bad it is at all XD But thanks for your input, gives me a bit of confidence back after I saw that The Inquisitor is going to participate as well ^^
