Legend Of Mozora *sigh*

The legend states that the demon god Mozora lived over 3000 years ago as the lord of time, even with time on his side, Mozora lost a fight with Azeris, the great summoner of Thao'ite. He has summoned the "Priestess" a misterious deity, that depending on the purity of the soul of the summoner, she would be a priestess of light, or a priestess of death. Her powers outweighed that of Mozora. so she had banished him to the realm of shadows, however, before he was completely gone, a drop of his blood landed on the priestess, this one drop defiled the priestess, thus she killed herself, before she went mad with darkness. After the priestess killed herself, she was sent to the realm of shadows, there, she become consumed completely with darkness, and plotted with Mozora to control Thao'ite's realm. When the time was right, Mozora used an eclipse to come forth and enter Thao'ite. The priestess was too powerful to slip through the eclipse, so she waited till Mozora could summon her himself.


All characters except Kareena, start with a job, but it may be changed at a later time.

Job: None
Age: 20
Bio: A young girl who has recently turned 20, she has been interested in legends and myths all her life. Recently, she's has been having nightmares about the myths she's read.

Name: Merine Alasdall
Job: Paragon
Age: 12
Bio: A 12 year old girl who is the daughter of a priest, she is loving, and has made a point to help those in pain. Against the agency's wishes, she has become employed as a Paragon, they struggle to heal others, and purify their ailments.

Name: Vuro Zelin
Job: Archer
Age 25
Bio: A master archer from the Ezerous region, he is a guard to the Princess Reiz, of Ezerous. When he had visions of Mozora and the priestess, he left his guardsmanship, and joined Kareena to help her stop Mozora from rising again.

Name: Lumin
Job: Dancer
Age: Unknown
Bio: A traveling dancer, he will perform on any stage for money. He has found that his purpose in life is to seek and find the ultimate love dance, he is charming, so when he stole from the shop keep of Sember, he talked his way out of trouble.


Job system: 8 jobs for the characters to have, when a character gets re-assigned a job, their in game sprite, and battler pic will change to their new uniform, as well as job appropriate skills and equipment.

Arcane Mage: User of offensive magic, they use rods as weapons.
Archer: Ranged fighters, they can use some status ailment skills, as well as elemental arrows skills.
Assassin: Quick and agile fighters, like archers, they use status changing skills, and self skills. They attack with katanas.
Dancer: Dancers attack with their hands, but spend most of their time influencing battles with their fancy footwork.
Dragoon: As a royal guard, dragoons wear heavy armor, and rely on physical attacks, their glaives are quick and sharp.
Mime: Able to copy skills used by foes for that battle only, when they use mimic.
Paragon: A healer sent from gods, they often hide in the back since their staves don't do much damage.
Reaper: Reapers are dark misterious figures, they carry scythes and use shadow magic.

Any suggestions or notes are appreciated. Questions too.

Well, my computer with xp isnt working right, so im not able to work on my game, but my laptop with vista has RMVX (yes, i just got vx lol, it looks good, despite what people say about its non realistic looks) so im able to at least make games, im currently working on Lusious Tale (working title), i havent got enough to post, but when i do, ill put it up.

A random feature: Visible enemies on the map, no random encounters.

I need a very special form of blue magic script for my mime class, skills copied last for one battle only, and only after you use mimic skill, it can either cause a state, which lasts a couple turns, or it can last entire battle, but important skills don't stay remembered. (cause it's an interesting idea.) just post a link or something here, i will give credit in my game.
 
From what I see in the screens, you should definately consider working on your mapping. Try the Mapping Improvement thread in RM Discussion.
 
Actually the mappig is Okay....
The spider queen's leg look like Mrs. Paint, the body looks like photoshop, and the top looks like a default char set...It looks wierd o.o...
And "Demon God" isn't that an oxymoron?

Lol and yah, XP is to good for me, I'm to into VX...
I suppose the maps ARE a little dry...
 
Well, yes, demon god doesn't quite sound right lol, ooops my bad. Also, I'm not that great drawing stuff that looks like the original, its supposed to look like the cleric 6 graphic (Merine) has mutated into half spider, so thats a bit of a problem making it look authentic, i did use adobe photoshop, so yeah. Also, thanks for the mapping note, I'll spuce them up, and make them all pretty and original, also, I have never used VX, im just bad at making maps lol, but i shall proceed to learn tricks, like in my port, ive used bricks for walls that rise from the water. So all in all, I apreciate your guys' input, i hope for more from more and more people, and everything will be looked over and played through before official final release of game.

Yeah the mapping is bland, but it would take 10 minutes on each map to fix. Just skim a mapping thread super fast and grabs some tips there. or just work on the game and add details later. thats what we're doing on the PhanxChainGame.I dont suggest the later if you plan on puting out a demo.

Also, in your jobs you have no heavy melee fighter other then Dragoon.No sword fighter, Like a Warrior/Barbarian. Is this on purpose? does nobody in your game use swords?
 
Well, the assassins will use other swords than just katanas, but yes i did plan it that way, cause really, i have one heavy armored, strong physical class, it would be hard to differentiate the two if i had like warrior, i used to have warrior, but replaced it with reaper, i wanted scythes, and shadow magic, cause the elements are split up, ill have the arcane mage use at least fire, water, wind and earth, possibly thunder and ice, but not sure, paragon has light, and i needed someone to use shadow, so i made reapers.

Edit: I will look at the mapping tutorials later, ive gone through some of my maps and i agree, a bit bland.
