Legality and Compatibility

Hello all,

I have a couple questions that I was wondering if I could ask.  This board has always been very helpful very quickly.  The questions range between a couple of different topics.

First, I wanted to know, is it possible to alter things from a well known developer (Naramura to be exact).  I want to take an animation, for example, and remove some of the parts of it, and customize my own into it.  I has planned on going about it all myself, but after I found those animations, I thought they would be perfect for several of my summons.

Second (I'm not sure if this is ok to go here), does anyone know if it is possible to run together a side battler script with moghunters menus?  I really like the idea of the beautiful menu system that mog templated, but I can't step away from wanting to do the FF style side battlers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

1) Of course it's possible. All you need is a graphics editor (PSP, Gimp, MS Paint..), and a little bit of "Pixel Magic" in your soul!  Is it legal? Not without written permission from the original artist.

2) Yes, also possible. I'm not familiar with Mog's menus, but there should be minimal interference with a battle system. It might take some script modification if either system redefines the battle menus. Your bet is to try them out together in a new project, and if you have problems post in "RGSS Support" to see if someone will help making them work together.

Be Well
