Large help request - full game debugging

Ballad of the Wind - the crossroads

Hello people. It's been a very long time since my last post. You may recall that I'm the 'team' behind the game "Ballad of the Wind". At the moment, BotW is at the crossroads, where many, many self-developed games must pass through.

This post is very important to me considering it will be what will make or break my whole project. I'm asking for help debugging the scripts in BotW. At this point in time, Chapter 1 is bug-free for about 50% of the people who play it. The other 50% seem to get error messages frequently, mostly revolving around ccoa's UMS. I believe it may be due to a conflict with other scripts, though all debugging I have done (i'm a fairly good debugger, despite my script-noob background) stated otherwise.


If you agree to help me with this problem, I will send a full, unaltered and unlocked copy of BotW. By doing this I am offering my full confidence in your trust and abilities. However, I won't give it to just anybody who wants to help. I hope to know what achievements you've acquired, including the production of scripts and games. The ideal person for this job would be Ccoa herself, however last I heard she no longer bothers with this script I am using. In return, you will gain my neverending gratitude. I will also assist you in any way I'm able.

I would be glad to help!!! I always love helping people around the forums. I haven't earned any  achievements or anything but I do help people out a lot and I've made a few scripts that I've posted on the forums. Besides that I makes TONS of scripts on my spare time and I would be glad to help with you. It would also but fun to help someone with their project. Best of all around the winter years, it just gives you that warm fuzzy felling inside! ^.^

To be honest I have a lot of work to do but if you can get back to me today I can help you out. I've helped a few people before and I wont give out your project or anything.

If you don't trust me then it's cool and I understand. I mean you ARE giving out your project UNPROTECTED. That's a big leap of faith.

If you do allow me to work on such a project then I have one question... VX or XP? I know both RGSS and RGSS2 but I just want to know so I and the others who might work on this just know what there in for. ^.^

Hey, thanks again for the support. GubiD waved his magical finger and seemed to fix everything in the blink of an eye, at least as far as I can tell. If anything else comes up I'll make sure to PM you. Thanks again =]

Hmmm everything been running smoothly for me. Only problem was the intro didn't have sound (It was my bad I had my settings messed up) and the tutorial picture for the first save point wouldn't let me leave... Did you put a prolong wait on it? I don't know maybe it was me... I left it there a 2ed time and got a soda and came back 10 minutes later and I saw the blinker and it worked fine form there. Think you just set the wait for to long? W/e all and all it's working swimmingly and it's quite good.

Seems like your game was fixed but I'll continue to work on it if you want.  :thumb:
