KNight-Blade 3: The Final Mech War

This is basically what I've been up to the past week or so. If any of you were wonder where ol misty was.
My projects coming along pretty good. I hope you all like it. I'll be releasing a demo soon so keep an eye out.  :thumb:

Story:
A war taking place in 2020. Three years after the EX-ARMS were destroyed. A new kind of war is about to begin between the EX-Hounds and EX-Matrixs. Cain having been in the 2017 war of the EX-ARMS was now the leader of the EX-Matrix. His best friend, and right hand, Abel was his partner.

Ciela is on the EX-Hounds along with alot of memebers. The war started in Fort Heath and spread through the south up to where the EX-Matrix's base was. An unknown Mech was being used. Destroying everything. This new mech was... nuclear powered. So Cain and his team couldn't just simply destroy it. It would be like setting off a nuclear war head. They have to think of a better way.. A none explosive way. Maybe a shocking trap to stun it.. and then dismantle it? Who knows. Just wait and find out like everyone else.

No. Read up on Project Discussion rules. Post atleast a paragraph of project description or this doesn't qualify for Projects Discussion and thus will be locked.

He beat me to it but yeah, not only is it against the forum rules, I don't know many people who would consider playing a game without knowing anything about it first. The pervious KN games were pretty bad anyways imo mostly because of the fact they were really only created to demonstrate what rpg maker can do.

We as moderators are in no way obligated to give you any time frame to fix your posts. It is a SERVICE we give you and a privilege you get. It is not my job to make sure you get a certain ammount of time to fix whatever mistake you've made. Had you read the forum rules in the first place, it wouldn't have been locked in the first place. Seeing as you cannot even FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS in my last post I am completely in no way sympathetic towards you and thus you won't be getting special treatments such as 24 hour deadlines to fix things.As a final note, The next time you decide to PM me whatever snarky comment you may have, it will be a temp-ban.
 
I'm ill and this is the first thread I've read today so, I'll try your demo. And get back to you.

EDIT:
Wow same mouldy music from the first KNight Blade for the title screen, why not make a remix of it at least so it relates but isn't identical. Imagine the same music for the original Green Hill Zone in Sonic Advance 3.

The mechs are minuscule, why not make them bigger than people like in the other KNight Blade? They're much more overbearing and impressive. And Wtf lvl 99?

Dude Wth, it's just showing of someone else's battle system? And it's an impossible battle to win as well.

Hm... perhaps if you discussed how to win? I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon as possible. Then I'll tell it more accurately... whoops, just hit the download link. Says there's an error of sorts... (I'm logged into mediafire automatically and have a pop-up blocker on, might that contribute to this "error"? It may, but the page actually stated an error, with a red bar...)

How to win? You have attack, no items, no skills, nothing aside from a custom battle system he didn't design. I'll try the new one. Also it's not directly about how easy it is to win or lose, it's game mechanics. If you had more than attack then there would actually be a point to this. Also regardless of starting at 99 in other games in the series, you really could implement levelling into this game. Especially if you're going to have no skills, that way you can grind to defeat harder enemies rather than hoping for critical attacks or them to miss.

Okay, okay. You're moving in the right direction but I won't say it's better it still sucks as a battle demo or even a game. I just had to go into executioner mode (Which was misspelt in the animation) and barrier myself to be invincible. I got hit for 1 when barriered and skills did 3000 on the 'boss' and the minions, so it was not even a challenge. If you want to make a decent battle demo make it like an arena, tournament or path of warriors as such. You're trying to show off the creative flair and well balanced battles in your game by calling it a battle demo and if you have neither it shows.

You should put in more 'techs' than a barrier and executioner mode, if you want to limit skills then at least have them work differently on different enemies but I fail to see how a mech cannot have a multitude of weapons. Watch any Gundam and you'll see that they have a great variety with weapons and designs. You should design speciality mechs so when you go into battle you might have to scan the enemy for their weakness and you also have to realise there's a person inside the enemy the player will be fighting so they will adapt a lot quicker and more accurately than some beast or berserker. Perhaps if you put the states as the emotional state of the pilot alongside mech mods like executioner mode and barrier. That would make it a hell of a lot more real. If you watch any mecha anime referring to them again because they are a good example, you'll find that their style of battle and recklessness changes with the situation. If one guy sees his friend get blown to pieces would he stay to join him? Unless they're like the Japanese Imperial army I doubt it. And even if they are there's no way for the player to know this. Even if this is a battle demo you need more than, are you ready for the battle. A battle demo at this stage defeats it's purpose. It's clearly had no development at all and needs to be cleaned up.

Also the mapping sucks, a lot it looks like you copied loads of the plants over. It doesn't look realistic at all because it's randomly placed, which for the wilderness such as a plain or mountain might work albeit loosly. Where you've set it though there are little metal squares and a door in a mountain. If there's a door there should be a path to it, even if it's not being used because it must have been used at one point.

Hopefully the next time you upload any kind of demo you'll take what I've said into account among other things. You can't hang off KNight Blade and think a half baked game will do. Especially as everything is ripped and the storyline, of course, borrows off previous games.

Oh and the title screen looks crap, it looked crap in KNight Blade too so make a new one.

Don't post half baked then and say it's an improvement, there's more in my other post, a lot more. Read it if you want some advice and no ones rushing you, you don't have to update it every day, I find the longer projects that have hard but timely work put into it that get the best results. Unless you're doing something like Xilef's minigames take your time.

I agree. Work hard, take your time, and make sure you're comfortable. If this topic goes bye-bye for a little while, just wait--come back with something that won't just blow the dust away or wash it, but prevent more from settling! (It'll take time, especially if you're a slacker like me! :crazy: :thumb: )

Try to stay on topic but I only really look through the projects sections anyway, helps me gauge how my games shaping up. Better than drooling over new features I can add in Scripts Analysis. I should look at the art more though.
 
My bad... hey, sudden thought. More army survivor buddies...? Like, ones Cain knew but never really was great friends with... like a less important semi-friend. As another ally. (Or maybe Rena survived...! Her death was a mistake, a fluke! They got the wrong person.........maybe. I've never played the very first KN-B, just HoK.)
