basically one of my friends a while ago asked me to play and I thought, hey, I'm bored, I'll try it out. Basically it's a text and crude picture based MMORPG that is almost all humor. Almost everything has a witty remark or rather ridiculous setting or name.

I'm currently a level 4 Pastamancer (Yes. I specialize in pasta magic.) and am finding the game pretty entertaining. Unfortunantly I abhor the "Adventures" based system which limits yout to playing only a certain amount per day (which at least keeps me from not working on my game..)

Does anyone else play? If so, you ought to add me. Tell me about your opinions of the game or your character if you do play.

I do enjoy the occasional Kingdom of Loathing session. I laugh my ass off every time. I haven't been on lately, though.

Level 14 Accordion Thief working towards my Black Hole Terrarium trophy (I collect familiar :D) It's fun but it's starting to drag a little bit. NS-13 screwed me up a bit but not much.

I played a long time ago. It ended up eating away 4 hours or something a day away, so I had to stop. I was slacking off too much and loathing instead. I just started playing again last week since they rolled in the NS13. I have played through it now 60 times (59 ascensions).

It's a pretty constant game. There's weekly new content added, daily bug fixes and support, and addictive as hell. Doesn't need flashy graphics like BMO, WoW or other MMORPG's. It makes it all up in game play and humor.

How do you spend 4 hours a day on it when they limit your adventures?

Maximizing everything. With the right equipment, you can end a day with 0 adventures, then when it rolls over, you get 40. Eating the right foods can give you 80 or so adventures. Drinking can give you usually a similar amount, plus equipment can give you upwards of 10 adventures. Then things like clans and a pagoda give even more. You can end up getting 240 adventures a day. Now, I was ascending every 2 days, so I would be playing day 3 then 1 every 2 days. If stat days were right, I could ascend the day after starting, so I would be playing through the whole game every day (second part, then first).

But now the NS13 is in, it will probably take a speed runner like me a week until I can get a plan set.

And don't forget the MMG. You can play for hours making millions if you know how to gamble correctly (coming from someone who lost 2 million today after losing about 30 bets and winning 2)

I suppose Im still too low levelled to get any of that Adventure Increasing equipment though?

Not really. You can get things like :

Equipment
~General Sage's Lonely Diamonds Club Jacket(35,000 meat and the skill torso)
~Sword behind inappropriate prepositions(30,000)
~Chrome Sword/Staff/Crossbow (700)
~dead guy's watch/tiny plastic bitchin' meatcar

Join a clan with stuff to increase adventure counts, etc. If you need any personal help, feel free to ask on PM. I am not an extreme expert, but I always do research on games I play. I have to be the best I can at everything I do. Or just Google "Kol Wiki"

Then there's a little software, that needs to be updated since the NS13, so it will be a while for everyone to explore the new contents, but it allows you to use scripts and java to automate your decisions, like adventuring in one place 15 times or until you get item x or something. Very useful to lazy people like me. Just search for "kol mafia."

Another cool thing many people miss out are the buffbots. Basically, they are just characters people learned all the "buff" skills and then leveled them up to extremely high levels (90+). For them, they can by MMJ, for 100 meat, they can get such an extreme high amount of MP, they can cast lots of buffs on people for very little meat. You can send 1 meat to these characters with PM like any normal player, and they will buff you up for x amount of turns, usually in the hundreds. Be sure to donate to those things if you can.

I also play but around half of my runs are hardcore oxygenarian runs, I'm normally a sauceror, although currently I'm a pastamancer. I haven't got to try the NS13 stuff yet I decided I'd finish my last ascension the day before.
