1200 characters? What the fuck are they used for? I looked at your game, and I don't see any ultra fluid animation system. Every NPC could have their own sprite and a good 50 animations too, why so many?
 
Hello Holloway thanks for your message. There are so many characters because not all of them are implemented into the maps yet, but they are available for new areas to be dropped in. The big thing with art is being able to have it ready and available as soon as possible. This gives the level designers assets to be able to work with, when they construct their maps. Having too much art is never a bad thing, especially which a BETA build is being worked on...

On a side note, people are mostly spoiled by finished games, not enough people track the proper developmental process in creating games. There is a large pipeline involved in seeing a commercial game developed. If you were to gander at a particular milestone build, or the day to day internal builds that are available, they would all be at various stages of completeness. This is based on an individual’s assigned task list. The versions available now for public download from various communities of game developers, are the "final alpha release" This release merely demonstrates the core systems, stable runtime, and show casing many different facets of the game play.  Having people play it early insures that all the pro’s and con’s are evaluated.

But I made it specially for Mr.Mo for netplay+. However, I did not make the initial sprites I did however make the compilation for it using those icons. I just want to make sure you had permission from him specifically to use it, cause if this goes commercial I'd like a mild form of credit since I helped in some of the processes and graphics that went towards Netplay+

On the first page I talk about credit, if you want credit for doing various spirtes cool no problem, but please dont fill the post up with such requests. Again, i would like to mention that the absense of credit is an oversight and unintentional. All non orginal art in the game is placeholder/scrub art only, and will be replaced for the commerical release. Please send me a PM with either your art alias, or real name so I can update all of my online and in game credit system to reflect the new artist.

Kingdom of Auspiex has been around since the first days of the orginal mnetplay code and has seen all the evolution of MMMORPG making using netplay and mnetnplay and suicides server. All credit to code and such can be found on the above website.

Development has been trucking along, an entire new orginal sound track and effects are in the pipeline from 6 different paid audio artists, using PRO-Tools, CUBASE and pro studios to record with (other others i know workign for studios or studying music as a major in university)

Currently we are in dire need of an established and recognized coder.

We are willing to pay said coder, a very respectable wage either per hour, or per completed task (we have task lists)

I am looking for a coder who has been using netplay for a longtime and feels comfortable under a pre 2.0 setting.

We have about 100 scripts all custimized to flow with our online system, the game is functional, stress tested to 135 players, we need a coder to clean up out code and flesh out bugs. We do not need said coder to make any orginal scripts, other then to maybe do workarounds for scripts that are in need of refinement.

Our game doesn't really have any huge crash bugs, the focas has been getting the engine working in game to a respectable level before tons of new art/collision detection and such are finalized.

We are looking for a vetern coder who has actively worked on Netplay projects before and knows the ins and outs of the code, perferable a Mista MO, or other formerly active scene scriptors.

Again, for those who don't know, Auspiex is the longest actively developed MMORPG using RUBY/RGSS/Netplay as a core base. We know what we got ourselves into from day one. We have not fallen by the wayside, to be forgotten like many fly by night projects or movements. We are very focased on this game, and our entire team works hard (albeit casually lately, because we won't the code all done) before we release the game to the general public.

I've visited his website and I can tell you that everything seems proffesional until you enter the forums -.-
the forum "Announcements" is more like a porn forum than real announcements about his game zzz...

doesent seem proffesional to me o_o

At least he could move them to a subforum and not in the announcement forum xD
 
That's [probably] not down to him; it's called bots.

But there should be some form of image verification to stop that; I had the same problem (50 spam bots registered in a month when I accidently took down image verification). After adding it back in, they stopped altogether.



Just make it so that only admins and mods can post in the announcements forum :/ And for pob's sake delete that 30,000 spam announcements.
 
Sorry about the bots.. Its been a long time since i even checked the forum, was trying to use a new one, might as well stick with vbuletin! I have been king of MIA on this project, because I have done all I can do technically, so I started a online web biz to help finance hiring coders from here, since between here and creation asylum is where all the good guys are.. Problem is my web biz became too successful, so i find i am working on that rather then this game, but i am harsh motived again to do some more level design and questing systems.  I just get dejected sometimes when people all complain about the same bugs, thats not in my skill reach to fix.. I took down the forums for now, as to not allienate or offend anyone! :)

Also, thanks for removing the links! I want to be a part of the community here and do not want to come accross as a link happy idiot! All i want to do is make a fun game!
