Just reinstalled RPG Maker XP... now I need a LITTLE help

Well, as the topic title suggests, I just recently decided to reinstall after perhaps a year or more of inactivity with the program, and I am now feeling the consequences. I am having a lot of trouble remembering all the different things I learned. So... I have some questions...

1) How would I go about looping a graphic?
For example, I want a water pipe graphic to be constantly looping it's waterflow animation, yet for some reason, I can't seem to do it! I've been trying to get it to work for a couple of hours, and am really frusteratedd with the whole thing since I know I used to make tons of these types of things, and now I can't seem to even remember how to do one.

2) How would I go about making a message that says "Level Up!" pop up in the center of the screen with information of what statistics were boosted each time my character levels?

That's just about it... thanks in advance for anyone who can help me, or at least try.

well for #1 you choose graphic you want then select the move route as custom then about 5 buttons up from script should be a change graphic option select that and put the next graphic you want. between every graphic put a wait of 4 frames. and then in the corner check repeat action.

hope this helps

Unless you meant auto-tiles then this wouldnt help

Stop animation is the easy way, ya200. You don't need to change graphics unless it's a custom one that's set up horribly  At most, all you should have to do is do "turn left", "turn right", "turn down" etc. for doors or treasure chests. Everything else you want animated, just use "Stop Animation."
