Hello, fellow HBGamers!
As you may or may not know, my USMLE Step 2 CK Examination is coming up next year. The Step 2 CK or Clinical Knowledge test is one out of four tests required to practice Medicine in the US. The exam is a five-part exam which includes topics of Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics.
So far this year, I've been wasting my time instead of studying for my test. Yes, I'll admit it's mostly my parents fault with the "lets get a divorce / maybe later" attitude, which has really plummeted my mood and concentration for the last few weeks, but it's also my fault for not being man enough to accept these so-called "facts of life" and move on.
I've got everything I need to prepare for my exam. I've got the Kaplan Step 2 CK Lecture Notes, 2008-2009 edition, with their corresponding video lectures, the Kaplan Master The Boards Step 2 CK, 2nd edition, with it's corresponding Kaplan Step 2 CK High-Yield video lectures, the Kaplan Diagnostic, Pharmacology and Treatment, and Examination Flashcards, and the First Aid for the USMLE Step 2 Ck, 8th edition (which I doubt I will read), USMLEWorld Qbank and Kaplan Qbank. Overall, we're talking of nearly 3000 textbook pages, 160 hours of video lectures, and 600 flashcards, plus 5000 practice questions and several practice exams.
It's a long road, not tremendously hard, and I believe the secret is taking it all one step at a time. That's why I've created a schedule with the help of CramFighter.com (a stupendous website, may I add). I've posted the schedule for my first week of studying below.
To set the study mood, here's a poem by William Blake:
Here's a poem by Robert Frost:
And here's a quote by Rumi:
I will probably be adding more poems and quotes as I open new chapters.
Now, I don't expect people to comment in this thread. It's really more of a personal thread to keep a record of my progress. That being said, good luck messages and support messages are always welcomed.
Until next time.

To set the study mood, here's a poem by William Blake:
William Blake":4f57ef3f said:To see a world in a grain of sand,
and Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in one hour.
Here's a poem by Robert Frost:
Robert Frost":4f57ef3f said:These wood are lovely, dark and deep,
but I have promises to keep,
and miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep.
And here's a quote by Rumi:
Rumi":4f57ef3f said:Only from the heart can you touch the sky.
I will probably be adding more poems and quotes as I open new chapters.
Now, I don't expect people to comment in this thread. It's really more of a personal thread to keep a record of my progress. That being said, good luck messages and support messages are always welcomed.
Until next time.
