I have a question about Photoshop... If no one minds, would you please explain to me or post for me (again, if no one minds) a GOOD explanation on HOW you can make NICE images like they are making over at Deviantart.com or where I can go to get this form of help? I love Kitten-Chan over there, her art is unbelievable!!! As with MANY MANY MANY other people... But, no matter how good of an artist I am on paper, I can not make a good peice of art on the pc. Thank you!

Acctually you can't just learn that by good tips.
I'm following a 3 year education to do that, and still it shortcomes.
I can only advise you to go and take a course.
A nice alternative is buy some tutorials at lynda.com

But hey, that's my opinion.

Tip #1: use Photoshop for photo editing.
Tip #2: don't use Photoshop for sketching.
Tip #3: experiment and research until you understand what all the myriad of tools in Photoshop do and how they work.

Seriously you might as well approach eagerly with a dry paintbrush and ask for tips on how to paint the Sistine Chapel.  In order to approach even a basic professional grasp of an artistic medium takes years of instruction in basic principles of art, followed by more years of practice, practice, practice.  Don't let that discourage you, you have lots and lots and lots of years left to you (unless you're like 85 and have cancer in which case, sorry!)  Get studying!
