PS, I love how none of them look generic, like the facemaker faces.

I get that a lot lol. Once I saw DBZ as a kid I started mimicking the art style... I tried to get away from it as I got older, but I suppose it still shows eh? Not a bad thing tho... I made these just now as well:

A very simple art style, but very cute. It would go really well in a spoof-type game or a really lighthearted game.

Kulilin's head could be a little bigger, though (that's the Japanese version of the name--"Krillin" is a misinterpretation, but Funimation is notorious for that). Human skulls are shaped a little like lightbulbs--they bell outward a little, and the widest part of the diameter of the braincase is just around the center line of the ears, when looking head-on.

Krillin? That's awesome! I can't help but wonder what Tien would look like in these, he does have three eyes after all (though I don't think that his third eye ever moves...oh well)

The other ones remind me of Dragonball as well. It must be those eyes or something...

That's just J.D. art style. He has a DBZ feel to all of his work. Looking good so far but how about some girls now? :D Also be careful on not to fall into the trap of keep the exact same head shape or they'll just end up looking like clones of eachother. You could vary it more by placement of the eyes or elongating the chin areas and so on.

Yeah, I get that A LOT. lol... I guess what you used to watch as a kid sometimes shows when you draw, eh? Maybe I'll do Tien when I get the time?

When I take a break from spriting for my project, I might just take you up on that request and make a whle lotta' girls! I totally see what you mean about the variation, I never really meant to make more expressions for the facesets, I just started doing them out of boredom, but it's definantely something I can try to do with the newer facesets!
