I've been...turned...

Your computer is messed up, or you need to reinstall FF. It doesn't ever do that to me, and I've never heard of that happening.

Anyone know why firefox won't minimize when I click the button in the top right? It disappears for a second, then is back, just like before I clicked the button. Its really weird.
HA!

Evidence of the corrupt condition of Firefox! This is only the beginning my friend-convert before it is too late and perhaps the almighty Opera gods may forgive your sins!

All right, I figured out what the problem is. Its the stupid theme mod I'm running. Since I can't figure out how to make it minimize normally, now I just double click on the title bar to do it.

there are slimmed down versions of firefox floating around.

also, google chrome is generally slimmer/faster than ff, and now supports add-ons.

All I know is that I've had bad experiences with IE before (viruses, add-ons such as toolbars installing themselves wtf, yes I know we're talking IE4 then but that's lodged in my memory), and Opera didn't appeal to me at all. I don't know why. Chrome annoys me too for some reason. For mainly trivial reasons therefore I'd only ever use Firefox.

I'd stick with Firefox if I were you. It's probably the most efficient of the bunch.

Efficient my ass. I use firefox because its easy, not because it handles resources well. If I wanted something that didn't hog nearly 100MB of my 4GB of RAM, I'd go with chrome. But, since I have RAM to spare, I'm fine with firefox. And no, don't suggest that firefox optimization tool to me. All that does is dump all that memory onto your processor. Great for people with more processing power than RAM, but, as I said, I have RAM to spare.

I use Chrome. Working with dual-screen, I need Chrome for how EASY it lets us drag tabs all around the place. The fact that Chrome makes all tabs independent from the others has already been much mentioned. And you can't get much more slim then that.
