Issue with Monsters.

So I tried adding some monster resources to my game to have some variety in my enemies. I clicked the black background to make only monsters appear in battle... however, I still get the black background around them when I place them on the map... any thoughts?

Also does anyone know of any sites or personally have any FF monster sets? Just wondering.

Chances are youve saved the battlers as PNG's and RPG maker is importing them with out letting you choose a Transparent colour. Try saving them as another format then import them.

Actually PNG is the only format that allows transparency
If you just pasted it in instead of importing it then that's your mistake
if not then double check if you didn't accidentally set it up as semi-transparent instead of transparent

Sorry it must be JPEG that dosent let you set a transapernt colour...

I DID import it... and it IS PNG format and I DID click the black background with the left stick... it still didn't work.

Can't now, I gave up and its a little late to go back and find the ones I wanted to use.

The problem is that black I think is read differently in the RMXP engine. Try making the background color green or something that isn't in the actual battler and then choose that as the transparency.
