Is there a simple way to change the party order using event?

I was wondering if there was a way to change the party order using events.

The character you see on the map is the first one in the party order, everybody know that I guess… What I want is to change the visible character on the map to someone else in the party during an event.
Of course, you can change the party members; remove all the actors except the one you want...

You might check Trickser's Method And Class Library (MACL) for a method called change_actor or something similar... I know I had a method from him once that did exactly what you wanted, and I'm pretty sure it's in his MACL.

Do you want the player to be able to choose the order him/herself, or will the order be set automatically in an event?

Both! Although, I can already change the order via the game menu.
As BlueScope said, I'll check for MACL!

hmmm....I tried playing around with changing the actors ingame through a script, for some really weird reason, when you do that the graphic never changes. I even removed the first actor from the party altogether, saved and loaded. Even though the original first actor wasn't in the party, his graphic was still showing
