Is it even possible, Common Event bypass?

Is there a script [or is it even possible] that makes it so that Common Events are run first before the animation?

EX. I have a skill that calls a common event. I want the common event to run before the skills animation is run and before the damage is dealt.

Is this even possible?
 
You could probably do something in the common event itself to display the animation. You'd need a little scripting to make sure it gets assigned to the user and the target, but it ought to be possible.
Unfortunately, I've no clue how off the top of my head.
 
Well I've already scripted the Common Event in the way you suggest. I was wondering if i could possibly change a script so that I don;t have to do that.

Problems I have found with the animation being drawn from the Common Event:

MAJOR LAG!!!
The enemy Battler doesn't disappear when it's dead.

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way around this.
